Great location - well appointed rooms and attentive staff

The cleaning staff did not wash or clean the coffee mugs or replaced rusks as promised.

Everything else was perfect. Quiet, relaxing, and absolutely peaceful. The managing staff and owners were there all the time, approachable, and understanding. We were also upgraded to a bigger room. The pool was an absolute blessing. Breakfast was great, and the restaurant staff was extremely friendly. Dankie julle ouens, ons sien jul weer wanneer ons Oudtshoorn toe kom. While I understand the need to use grey water it did make the room smell a little in the hot weather so remember to leave your windows open. I found the Meerkat Tour a little disappointing - we did see the animals pop up but little else - perhaps it was my high expectations. Flasks of plunger coffee on the trip and a few rusks would add to the outdoor experience rather than packet coffee. The evening meal did not match the excellent standard of the breakfast, and many people tested the ostrich egg omelette.

The gardens and pools tucked in their midst were a blessing in the hot weather - loungers were widely spaced and very comfortable. It was great to be able to walk about safely and get my steps in. I took the tour to learn about a working ostrich farm and Ken answered all my questions including those about the history of the town. The reception and staff serving the meals were attentive - overall a positive experience. Next time I would like to stay further up the hill in the Manor House.

Got a bit crowded when queuing for dinner in the restaurant when a large tour party were staying

Location. Staff were very helpful and polite. The cottage was extremely comfortable and spacious with parking right outside the door. Food was good.

The wifi was slow sometimes.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. I mentioned to them that I wanted to have a barbeque at my cottage, for just myself and my wife. They provided a braai pack with delicious meat from the farm as well as a salad and bread, as well as wood. One of the hosts even came to start the fire.

The cottages would have been perfect if it had a fireplace or gas heater for winter low temps. Would love to return in summer to enjoy the pool!

Beautiful guest farm, close to town, idyllic setting and view - wonderfully friendly hosts, delicious breakfast (try the scrambled ostrich eggs!). Very spacious and clean unit, appreciated the electric blankets, and all of the special attention to detail.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We needed a day away from the kids and life so we booked a night stay in the room with the jacuzzi. It really exceeded our expectations. We were greeted at the door, the host new my name before I even told him who I'm. The room was beautiful and the Jacuzzi was such a treat and the fireplace. The ostrich steak at dinner was amazing and well prepared and the next morning our breakfast were included. We had some omelets and fresh fruits. Then we went on a tour of the farm. I loved my stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely, homely facility on an ostrich farm. Breakfast and supper were wholesome and tasty. Good choices of food. The facility is relatively close to Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch. Beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place is so peaceful, cozy and spacious. The cottage was very spacious and nicely furnished. The Ostriches, pools and grounds were great with amazing views of the mountains and sunrise.

Although we had a "honeymoon suite room Cactus 4", which was large and had a separate lounge and en suite, it looked tired and could do with a fresh look. Some of the furniture in the room needs replacing, and the cleaning staff "forgot" to replace the coffee sachets and drinking water(twice). Sebastian came to the rescue after hours. The pool allocated to our room area (there are 4 pools on the property) could do with a good clean(algae around the edges etc.), not nice to swim in, especially in an upmarket facility.

The breakfasts were very good, although there could be a better variety of chopped up fruits to add to one's yogurt. The dinner was very good, and our host Sebastian went out of his way at all times. Excellent inter personal skills with visitors. The background music was just right, and the seating areas catered for all guests preferences. Lovely gardens and walking areas around the property.
