Fantastically clean and well prepared cottage. Attention to detail is super Impressive as well as the communication with the informative host. You won’t go wrong here. Safe and within walking distance of the wine tram ( helpful for the return journey)and dining venues in town. Excellently stay.

The fact that I am only going back next year.

Location was ideal to walk everywhere, had everything we needed and the small extras like wine and bedside chocolates just made our stay so much more enjoyable. Jan was very helpful and accommodating, we will definitely be back!

Although small the attention to detail made up for it. I don’t think there was one thing that was missing, from slippers and bathrobes to wine and bedside chocolates.

Our host had a great attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and little extras that made the stay special - fresh flowers, local coffee and chocolates, fresh fruit and rusks. Great guidance and recommendations.

Jan is the most outstanding host. Very attentive, little treats every day. Amazing rusks he bakes, chocolates, flowers. The little cottage is perfect for a couple. Immaculately clean. Everything you need. Thank you Jan.

The location is excellent, 3-4 minutes from amenities, restaurants, bars, and attractions. The wine Tram is 4 minutes walk and most Winery’s are 15 minutes drive. Jan , our host is the most helpful guy and has lots of recommendations for everything. Tha house is immaculately clean with everything you could need. If it’s not there, just ask.

The host Jan made the entire experience so enjoyable. He gave us so much assistance and information that was tremendously helpful during our stay. The place was stunning (great pool, bedroom, bathroom, everything seemed new) and so well looked after. Jan thank you for everything, we will certainly be back!!

From start to finish everything was 1st class. Jan was a very welcolming host, gave us lots of useful information and always available to give help and advice. The cottage was spotlesssly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the toiletries were of high quality. The linen and towels changed regularly. There were lovely chocolates left every day, good quality and delicious coffee provided, slippers and robes provided. The pool was great to have a cooling dip in as the weather was hot and the area around the pool private and relaxing. The cottage is close to all the town amenities, shops, restaurants, wine tastings, places of interest. We had a wonderful time and hope to return in the future.

This is the perfect place to stay to explore the local area. We stayed for three nights but we wished we had stayed longer. Jan the host is amazing and always on hand to give you local advice. First class service.

Bleu Cobalt Cottage: Subtle Gestures - Extraordinary Stay Our three-night stay at Bleu Cobalt Cottage in Franschhoek was magical, despite the rainy weather - maybe even because of it. This charming accommodation was the perfect base for our 20th anniversary celebration, mainly thanks to our host, Jan's warmth and dedication. As we arrived in the rain, we found Jan mopping the entrance to prevent slipping - a thoughtful gesture setting the tone for our entire stay. This attention to detail was evident throughout the cottage. Windows, that could easily have been left looking onto a bland boundary wall was changed into vibrant, nature-infused vignettes with colourful hanging succulent baskets. Even a printout of weather conditions was provided to help plan our activities. Inside, the cottage exudes subtle luxury. Immaculate cleanliness and high-quality furnishings and finishes made us feel pampered. Modern conveniences like WiFi and air conditioning ensured comfort, but it was the little touches that truly elevated our experience: plush robes, comfortable slippers, homemade rusks, and chocolates, to mention just a few. Bleu Cobalt Cottage's commitment to guest delight was remarkable. Each day, we returned to fresh scents and subtle decor changes - new cushion arrangements, artfully draped throws, and lavender on pillows. These ongoing adjustments created a sense of care beyond the ordinary. Jan's acknowledgment of our anniversary in so many ways, touched us deeply. While we couldn't enjoy the beautiful pool and courtyard due to weather, the cottage's central location was a significant plus. Though not the largest or grandest accommodation in Franschhoek, Bleu Cobalt Cottage is exceptional. Its magic lies in meticulous attention to detail, warm hospitality, and constant efforts to enhance the guest experience through meaningful touches.

The whole place was impeccable. Jan was super friendly and gave us loads of restaurant suggestions - if only we'd had more time to try them all! I particularly liked that everything was thought of, such as plugs and adapters (local and international) throughout the place. Really glad we found this place and we can't wait to come back one day.
