Nothing!

So much authentic Cape decor and facilities. Staff were attentive and helpful and the location great. We loved the art and old feel. Breakfast was very good and there are excellent restaurants within the block and across the road

Didn’t bother us but could be a bit noisy if you’re staying on the outer edge of hotel - old features means single glazed windows.

Great rooms, all different and interesting. Lovely staff, really helpful and kind. Well located. Good breakfast. Parking really convenient.

There is nothing not to like.

Everything. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, near hop on hop off bus and free walking tours. Breakfast was lovely. Room was beautiful. Court yard at the back of the hotel was great to relax and have a drink and something to eat. A lovely heritage hotel.

Lighting in the bathroom in particular was dim. Noise from the street could be loud until midnight or later.

Location was very good. The hotel has real charm. The room decor I would describe as vintage. The breakfasts were excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.

Having to check out

Location was great just a few minutes walk to the hop on bus, the staff are FABULOUS, lots of places to eat close by. Breakfast is top notch and the mini bar was reasonably priced, had a wonderful 5 night stay and felt right at home. Definitely wouldn't have had as much fun if I had picked a different hotel. Great market just down the street too. Couldn't fault anything in either the room or service, was sad to leave.

As the room is on a main road, it's not the quietest (particularly when there's live music next door at Hacienda) but this wasn't a problem for us.

Perfect location on Bree Street, within a few minutes' walk from lots of bars and restaurants. The room was absolutely huge, including a separate dressing room and sizeable bathroom. Loved the old school colonial feel of the hotel.

The hotel has a lot of history and we could see it during our stay. Also there are beautiful arts everywhere including our room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Parking is located across the street and they have a dedicated parking spots for hotel guests. Bathroom is very spacious and clean.

What a gem! Beautiful vintage rooms, crispy clean, comfortable bed, nice spacious bathroom with a bath, great view and location and friendly service. We had an enormous delay, yet they picked us up in the middle of the night, much appreciated.

The air conditioning unit in my room was somewhat noisy.

Wonderful historic building in the center of Cape Town! My room was spacious and well furnished and I especially appreciated the modern bathroom, natural light and comfortable bed. Breakfast on the patio had lots of choices (including eggs cooked to order!). There were several restaurants in close proximity as well as walking distance to important historical sites. The staff were delightful, always ready to offer suggestions and directions.
