Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Parking facilities Staff are not very friendly...bare minimum seems t be their motto Construction began on the Monday in the room next door with loud talking and heavy drills going...no warning was given to let us know to expect this and plan appropriately....the room should have been blocked off for any stays while the construction took place next door

My key card kept failing meaning i had to continuously go down to reception to have it reset. The mini bar and basket had missing items as per the list in the room. Limited TV channels

1st room was on 9th floor outside in "open area" close to swimming pool as it was windy, I could feel the wind in the room. But upon my request the reception moved me to 7th floor where entrance to room was already inside. For incidentals you need to give credit card (from foreign tourists the wanted to take all details including CCV in written) - it was not enough just swipe the card. Or there was option to give EUR 20 / USD 20 in cash, which was returned on checkout.
Spacious rooms in nicely refurbished hotel. Hotel located in downtown close to Bo-kaap area with view on Table Mountain. Good value for money - price of the room for location and hotel rating was great. Good selection for breakfast. Great steak restaurant directly in the hotel for dinner.

Room: Not enough power plugs. There was one plug that did not work too great and it only had room for one two-pin plug and one three-pin plug. We were unable to both charge our phones and work on our laptops. Check-in: Not all the check-in requirements were provided beforehand and this almost resulted in not having the required documents. The check-in details were incorrect and there was a lot of confusion. It took 20 minutes to check-in as the system was not working.
Room: Was very neat and clean. Had everything that was needed. The bed was also really comfortable. We had a lock to keep any valuables in if we went out. Location: It was right near bus stations, food services and work offices in the city.

Parking is a but awkward and you have to pay R100 a day for it. There is also R600 rand that you have pay on arrival which is a damage deposit but its refundable. If you want peace and quiet this hotel is not for you because there are a lot of clubs in this part of town and could be very noisy at night
The hotel is great, food at the restaurant was amazing. Rooms spacious and beautiful. Price reasonable

There isn't enough space for drop off and the foyer is too small when the hotel is busy. You can do with 3 or 4 potters because the hotel is busy.

The rooms need renovation because not much has changed throughout the years. The AC makes too much noise. There is a construction right across the street and they start working at very early hours so the noise is unbearable sometimes. The room cards become inactivated almost daily so you have to rush down to the reception to make them work again. I was not informed about the deposit payment I had to make during check-in so it was a surprise. Some of the staff at the reception are not friendly or maybe they are just too busy that they don’t have any energy left for guests.
I have stayed at this hotel many times within the past 20 years, even when the name was different. I really like the location. The street is safe compared with other streets in Cape Town. The room is spacious and clean. The cleaning ladies do a great job and they always have a smiling face. The WiFi works fine.
