Although there is a hot tub which you pay for, a pool would be amazing. But i really cant fault anything.

The guest farm exceeded our expectations,we loved everything about it..Sparkling clean,the water was always warm.Check in wasn’t a hustle though we checked in in the evening.Margie was always available to assist with extra needs.We will definitely come back😄

Just a personal preference but would have appreciated more cupboard and storage space in addition to the hanging rails. We stayed for more than a week and had a fair amount of luggage including self catering items. I think the arrangements for the hot tub need to be more clear. An additional charge of R1000 was levied to use the hot tub for 2 nights (R500 per night). I didn't realise the hot tub was not included when I booked the accommodation. We booked for 8 nights and I was under the impression we could use the hot tub throughout our stay. We weren't prepared to pay an additional R 4000 to use the tub each night.

Loved Margie and the staff! The hot pot, cheese platter and meals were fantastic! Great location- 20 mins from Clarens and the Welgelegen Venue. Loved that it was pet friendly and we could bring our dog along. Great hikes and activities to do in the area.

An enjoyable reprieve from the bustles of life. Sarah (manager), Lily (the dog), the farm animals, the serene mountains, and fresh air made it a relaxing stay at the Gate House, offering the comforts of home (with the help of solar during loadshedding). Lulu (my Schnauzer) was very much at ease in the garden. And, the Fat Mulberry is nicely placed to access fantastic hiking trails that are abundant in the region.

The management are caring and exceedingly prompt with replies to questions. They are helpful, friendly and warm. One is provided with adverts with all the local current activities, markets and extras one might like to add to flesh out ones visit. The units are warm and toasty with effective fireplaces. The most generous of size & comfiest of beds are offered. The back ups in the event of an outage makes ones life seemingly uninterrupted. The staff service the units every single day and are willing to make your stay happy as possible. Our little 5 month old loved the hot tub swims and the walks in the champagne air. We even bought farm fresh, free range eggs.
