To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

South AfricaThe craftsmanship of the apartment is poor, including the bathroom towel rail is falling off. Further the apartment is sparsely furnished - can do with some carpets.
The Icon is very well located in the CBD, very close to all the Cape Town attractions, and walkable distance to the Waterfront. The apartment is very clean and spacious, with lovely inner-city views.

South AfricaGreat location in CBD and on the main Long street which is a great vibe with bars and restaurants. The apartments themselves were well equipped, comfy and had incredible city and mountain views. Add to all this, a fully equipped gym and pool with a sun deck. Was definitely value for money. Also loved the safe underground parking and controlled keycard access for all doors and gates.

South AfricaThe communication and check in was not great. We picked up our keys at 1.30pm just before check in time of 2pm. We couldn't get in our rooms immediately as they were still being cleaned, which was ok. The problem was when we went back later to move into our apartment the security guard who was at the desk was very rude and unprofessional.
The place is conveniently located near the V&A Waterfront. My family of five loved the place. We would stay here again if in Capetown

South AfricaWhat I did not like where the couches, they were not ideal after coming from an entire day full of activities. Also outside the furniture is worn-out. The cleaners did not come on Saturday and Sunday, we did not know what to do with the full bin.
The beds were comfortable, location was ideal. Apartment was tranquil. No loadshedding. Pool was clean. Security visibility was comforting. Dstv was working. Wifi was working.
