The rocky road to get there.

Despite the amazingly rocky and bumpy road to enter the facility, as soon as we walked through the entrance, we felt like we entered a true paradise. From the warm greeting from Sabelo, the beautiful lodge room we had, the amazing dinner that was prepared for us each evening, our stay was beyond expectation. The staff ensured we had everything we needed for our morning and night safari adventures, and Sabelo ensured we had other options for gate entry into Kruger as well when gates were full. The always positive and helpful staff showed true hospitality from start to finish, and this stay was one of the biggest highlights of our trip.

The only complaint was that the headboard lights were not working.

As this was our 57th anniversary, we were so excited to see that they made such a big impact on our arrival. They spoilt us with the decorated bedroom and a note of congratulation chocolate, amarula. An unforgettable memory. Thank you.

The staff was super nice and accommodating to our various needs (and we were difficult guests this time, travelling with a toddler and on very short notice). The food was very good, although breakfast has some limitations. It is also a very small lodging, with a very high ratio of superbly trained staff per guest. The cleanliness is impeccable!

We would have loved to find shower gel, shampoo, etc. in large refillable bottles instead of the small ones that waste a lot of plastic.

Our room was rather small, and there was not enough space to move around.

The room smelled moldy.

The size of the room was great and the staff is really friendly. We loved that breakfast packs were prepared for our early morning game drives - that was very thoughtful 😀. The locations is excellent, and although it is not inside the Kruger, it still feels like you are out there in the wild. We will definitely be back.

Other than a little torch there was no provision for lights during load shedding. Our expected peaceful venue in the Bush was disrupted for the first couple of days due to our nrighbours rowdy children. The "rocky" road to the lodge was a challenge to drive on.

The lodge is beautiful. Loved our room which was very clean. The staff were wonderful and really looked after us.

Sitting on the balcony and spotting animals was really cool, and so was the outdoor shower. The staff is great, makes you feel at home and welcome. The food was great and the atmosphere is really relaxed. Can definitely recommend!

The Property overall was very clean, and the service impeccable. Given and the receptionist was the highlight of the stay. They made us laugh and always provided good conversations. The other staff were incredible at hospitality, always asked if we wanted a drink and if we are okay and needed anything. They cater for dietary requirements i.e vegetarian and soy milk for the best coffee ever. Tanning at the pool, had the best vibe and most beautiful tree.

The staff was particularly friendly, proactive and helpful! I proposed to my now fiancé at the lodge and they went the extra mile to make it happen! From personalized dinners to special engagement gifts - we had such a pleasant stay! Definitely recommend and will visit again!
