Beds and pillows are old and not as comfortable as expected of a 4star resort. There is no chemist/ pharmacy facility on the premises, nor is there access to purchase general medication. Staff could be friendlier and more accommodating. We booked for our 10year wedding anniversary and experienced “Very little” special treatment and the resort had to be reminded of our occasion before champagne and a small fruit platter was delivered. Kids activities were not always available.

The Hide and the small pool outside the restaurant which attracts small and large animals. The game drives and knowledge of the rangers.

This is quite a large lodge inside Pilanesberg National Park. It is positioned in between the smaller more exclusive lodges you would find in most national parks and cheaper rest camps. One game drive was included in the room rate and I could book an additional game drive at a reasonable price. There are various activities available at the lodge and I think it would be quite attractive for families with children. Meals are served at a buffet restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience at Kwa Maritane Lodge. The well-maintained property and spacious room provided a comfortable retreat. When booking in, we discovered that our stay also included a game drive which was a pleasant surprise. After exploring the park, the refreshing swimming pools were a welcome respite. Enjoying breakfast and dinner with a view of elephants, rhinos, impalas, and other wildlife from the restaurant, made our stay at Kwa Maritane Lodge exceptionally memorable.

Sometimes there was too much gardening noise! You want to enjoy the tranquility but everyday we were there the noise of machines was disturbing! The pool facility could have been better & cleaner. We understand maintenance needs to occur but maybe more could be done early eve rather than closing a pool during hot days!

As the price includes 2 game drives, its a shame that when you get to the hotel and want to book an evening game drive you get told its fully booked. One should be advised that you need to secure your game drive when you book the accommodation to avoid disappointment or Kwa-Maritane should have another vehicle to accommodate the amount of guests. The roads in the park are full of potholes and not very good for self drives. My sister left her phone charger in our room... its an expensive apple, docking station type. We phoned the reception the same day to ask if it had been handed in by the cleaners and it hadn't nor did anyone call us back about it which is a bit disappointing.

I love the setting of the hotel and the dinners and breakfasts are great. staff are friendly too.

The staff seemed quite exhausted, maybe as it was end of season, so not as engaged as other places we visited. The restaurant dinner buffet was also a little basic in options and not high end dining.

Great peaceful location and lovely large rooms. It was amazing to have dinner surrounded by elephants. Free game drives were also fantastic.

Cleaning of the pool during the middle of the day is a bit annoying, should have done it early morning ot late evening. Closing the pool when most people want to swim Cockroach walking through the dining hall was not cool. No electricity plugs by the beds.

Beautiful place, especially loved the included game drive. Rooms are spacious with a good bed and shower. The hide is a fantastic addition, also the views from restaurant and rooms very spectacular.

The only thing I would complain about is the pools are freezing! Both our kids are water babies but unfortunately they hardly swam.

I know that it is outside of you area but the roads in the park are very poor, especially the access road from Kwa Maritane into the park.

Good, abundant food. The Christmas lunch, which we did not partake in, was too expensive. The dinner at the Boma was very enjoyable!
