Everything. The scenery, the fireplace, the cosy hot water bottles, the built in braai, the wonderful housekeeping, it all made for the perfect getaway. No TV, no WiFi. Which can only be seen as a negative if you don’t like the people you are travelling with 😂 for us it was the best way to unplug and unwind, in nature, spending quality time together! We stayed in cottage no 4 which is not next to a lake (a short walk from the lower lake) and it was perfect for our family. We had easy access to the playground for our toddler. Had a beautiful boat ride on the main lake. The evenings were cold (it’s winter in the mountains) and cosying up by the fire was all part of the experience. Friendly hosts! Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back :)

Rooms need better heating as it was very cold and the heaters battled.

This was such a pleasant peaceful place to relax and umwind... Breathtaking views to wake up to a lake as smooth as glass in the morning . We enjoyed the fireplace in the lounge and the lake right outside our doorstep with personal.jetty and small rowing boat to use.

I was struck by the serene and picturesque setting with the mountains as a backdrop offering a peaceful and amazing ambience that soothes the soul. As a couple who pick places where we can fish (and catch) trout , Lake Naverone was disappointing. We do understand the effect of the cold spell but we feel the water was poorly stocked. We as fishermen demand better stocked water. No

We had a wonderful stay in Cottage 2 on the main lake. The setting is serene and idyllic with the most beautiful views of the mountains. The cottages are nicely spaced out so that the entire time you feel like you’re the only people staying there. We also enjoyed the paddle boats on offer. Would highly recommend as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and just recharge.

View, fire, friendly staff and lack of TV / WiFi. Awesome hikes. Paths and signage not great but we eventually found our way! The bushman paintings were too good to be true! Loved it. The pools and the snow on the mountains just glorious.

We had loadshedding on the last two days of our stay and we were given wood that was wet.Refused to light up.We did complain though and was given a bag of dry wood which was used up on the first loadshedding.So we were in the cold a bit.Towels especially hand towels should be changed daily.Bathrooms should be equipped with shampoos.

The views were spectacular.The holiday cottage was comfortable.It was really good .Just a few changes that can make it even better like informing guests about loadshedding so they can be prepared.

Absolutely loved my stay at Lake Naverone Holiday Cottages! Dove Cottage was incredibly cozy, rustic, and comfortably furnished, making it the perfect retreat. The breathtaking views of the mountains and lake, combined with lovely walks around the property, truly made this a memorable and idyllic getaway.

I wouldn’t stay in the cottages zoned for pets if you don’t have pets because prior guests are often inconsiderate and don’t pick up after their pets

I was shocked at how big the lakes were. Each unit is so well placed that it’s difficult to see other ppl making it very private. Units are well equipped with careful consideration of what one might need. Kids play area is very nice.

No wifi and TV.

Beautiful location nestled near the Castle Garden mountain / Castle end mountains. The hike to the 3 pools was insanely amazing - never seen natural landscapes quite like this previously. The units are fully equipped for all your self-catering needs.
