It is an awfully long drive off the freeway and far from everywhere else. Had to drive 20km to get some milk and fire wood.

The Interior had traces of time and seemed to need a heart of care.

Lazuli bush Lodge is situated in a secluded nature Reserve where you can take a walk trough the bush. We where lucky to get close to the giraffes and zebras on a beautyful scenery. But also in Front of the lodge we had plenty of Wildlife to see. The lodge itself gave a lot of space equiped with everything you need. The people where warmhearted and helped in every case id needed.

I didnt like that it was not mention on the description that the rooms consists of 4 different chalets that are outside the main house and the fact that we had to leave the doors open when we leave as there is only 1 key for the entire property😳 imagine leaving your valuables in an unlocked place🥺that is inside a bush

The chalets are to die for the pictures dont do them justice🙌🏽 they were very clean and the main house as well.I also like that the cleaning lady came the whole weekend.

The recent humps made on the way to the lodge inside the game park. We have a sedan and we struggled and had kids in the car at night. Had to use another route. Would prefer that such changes would be communicated before hand to prepare guests if the place is built for guests.

The privacy was one for the books. The aesthetics of the place, it is very well curated. Beautiful is an understatement!

The location of this lodge is amazing, completely in the woods, surrounded by nature. The lodge is beautiful, and I would visit this place again.

Apply No Tick spray is recommended. We came back with very itchy bites all over our bodies (not sure if ticks were the main culprits but definitely some insects bites) so the spray will keep all insects away.

We loved the surroundings- trees and animals. Designed by Joy Brassler, well known for her afro-chic minimalism approach, the lodge was well lit, spacious and blend in nicely with the nature. I especially love the sliding doors, and the little run around the whole park.

The entertainment area and comfort of the seating areas. Bedrooms were very nice. Kitchen well equipped. Thandeka the lady was lovely.

the only thing I would say is that there are a few things that need a little tlc. there wasn’t a back to our toilet, the decks are looking a bit tired and the kitchen was laking in a few utensils. it really wasn’t a problem, I just thought if you maybe wanted to improve slightly those are the areas.

the property was beautiful and the intent around the house was homey and cosy. loved the bush surroundings and privacy

The website pictures did not make it clear that the rooms were separate to the main living area. This was a bit of a problem as we were travelling with young children and had to split into different cabins.

The size of the living area and bedrooms was amazing. The different areas to lounge around and relax were such a bonus. Decor was excellent and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed.

Need maintenance, ceiling leak when it rains, swimming pool water was green we could not use it, roof is very noisy when it rains, air conditioning needs maintenance (not blowing cold air), low reactivity of the house manager, no information about surrounding attractions etc

The place was not 100% clean. No soap in the bathroom and show. Place sleeps 8 people but only 6 placemats and 6 plates. We had to wash everything before using. No ice machine as promised. No coffee machine as promised. Had to drive 30 minutes one way to buy ice and coffee. No wood supplied for the braai and boma. Had to drive back to the entrance to buy. No WIFI password supplied. No Loadshedding schedule supplied. No keys supplied for rooms. Towels dirty in some rooms. Some rooms did not have bath towels, only hand towels. Some rooms had kids coat hangers and no adult hangers.

Location beautiful. Allowed early check in and late check out.

The staff was not responsive at all, no one was there to welcome us or explain about the facilities and stay. No one told us about expected load shedding (power cut offs across south Africa) and it took them a while to respond when we found ourselves stuck in the dark in the middle of the bush...
