Rooms were large and well equipped, not new but well looked after. Heated pool was brilliant and the breakfasts were delicious, wide variety and very friendly staff

Starting to look dated, and in need of an upgrade. I fully appreciate the devastating effect of Covid, on business finances, but atour stays in in our “favourites” in Constancia and Franschhoek, those properties have “ moved on”

Been to Majeka 5/6 times over the past 10 years, and enjoyed stay, together with recommending to friends. Calm, safe location, Conveniently located for some of our favourite restaurants- Mont Marie, Guardians Peak, Waterford Wine estate. Conveniently located for local golf courses- De Zalze, Stellenbosch, Erinvale

My wife and I spent the evening after getting married in Stellenbosch. The location is conveniently tucked away. The house itself is really comfortable with the heated pool and sauna were amazing. The food at restaurant was really good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent and spacious with the interior well decorated. The breakfast the next morning served at the room was great! Planning to go again.

The place is very nice and relaxing. The staff were ver cordial and welcoming. The manager welcome me in person and upgraded my room. Everyone was so great. I really appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent service that provided.

Everything was good except guests swimming at 1am in the morning keeping everyone awake. Your pool should close at a certain time or keep guests quiet. The pool is right at reception so not sure why they allowed this.

The staff at Majeka are unparalleled in their commitment to customer service. The breakfast room fireplace had no heating, and the fireplace did not work. It seemed very cold with no ambiance. The room was great however the shower drainage had a problem as water spilled over into the main bathroom wetting the floor extensively. Pool area was not really great as pool was pretty cool and jacuzzi freezing cold when it was tried. Even though it was some time after loadshedding.

Bar area with fireplace was amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. George and Raymand were very helpful with all things. Breakfast was great. Bar cocktails was good. Check-in and checking out was hassle free.

Attention to detail... the property is lovely but many little things let the side down rather badly. E.g. a forgotten ladder right next to our room door, a dead plant on the bar counter, huge cobwebs in the ceiling of our room, black mold in the shower, a broken blind in our room (tried to open it, the whole thing fell on the floor), a bathroom door that does not close, etc. If small things like listed above can be sorted out throughout the property, it would increase the enjoyment of the hotel experience tremendously.

Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The library with the roaring fire was the perfect spot to unwind after a busy week.

The establishment just looked tired. It needs a face-lift. I'm sure the recent covid era took its toll. Also, breakfast was weird. It wasn't explained well at all but the individual spread was good, albeit limited.

The staff was absolutely delightful. The baked goods/confectionery was out of this world.
