The location is so peaceful especially at night time. I enjoyed the surroundings of nature. They also let us checkout later than the set time.

I requested the spa brochure in the evening. I hardly had time to have a look and decide, but was called at 8am in the morning, woken up from my sleep and asked to provide a slot for my spa treatment. That wasn't nice at all.

The grounds were perfect for a long romantic walk. Clean and well kept. The reception employees were stellar to say the least. In fact, most of the employees were an absolute pleasure to deal with. The rooms and bedsheets were spotless!

Staff know-how of facilities and communication between staff and towards guests mediocre or non-existent. Gym facility was not functioning as only a few pieces of equipment available. Little or no other entertainment facilities. Games room did not exist. Generally slow service at restaurants.

The telephones were not working. Poor wi fi signal. Some of the staff members are not properly trained on how to communicate with guests.

Proximity to Pretoria and Johannesburg. Beautiful, lush environment. Clean facilities and great food. Some of the stuff members were excellent. We felt very safe whilst at the hotel.

We arranged a special platter for the room which was tasty. One suggestion is to wrap the dried fruit separately because it made the entire platter taste and smell like dried fruit.

Lunch was at the Gin Box! Massive burgers which led to us not having supper. Breakfast was tasty and very quickly served. Snacks at the Spa was delicious.

The walk to the rooms was not nice, especially coming back from our event at night. The rooms are far from the parking...

Just the breakfast really and I do wish they had smart TV's but that us honestly not too big of a deal. I also do wish there was more activities to do on the property. I also wish the staff were about more helpful in letting me know about which activities I could do because I asked but the information was very vague

The staff was so warm and welcoming and were willing to help with whatever I needed. The breakfast could have been better but it was alright. Over all, I love hoe beautiful the facilities are and I really appreciated how safe it was for me as a solo traveller. The spa treatment was exceptional!!! a very big thank you to them because that was an amazing experience.

The staff need some serious training/refresher training. Most of them have no idea what’s going on with their own jobs or the establishment and can’t answer a simple question. For example, margueritas were sent back by a few customers as they have no clue how to make them. No willingness to learn the excuse was “oh well she’s ok probation”. The very essence of probation is training. They couldn’t tell us where the games room was. Our experience is that they also don’t have a clue what we are asking or saying- it was frustrating. We’ve stayed in many establishments and this is the first time we’ve come across this. The breakfast at the Gin Box is incredibly lack lustre and sub standard- it’s not acceptable for an establishment of this sort. Two aspects of our stay were completely messed up which was a terrible inconvenience.

Hotel has rooms situated in a beautiful botanical garden, but all the ponds were empty and the garden looked less maintained than last year. It was very busy and there was a private pool party, so we were not allowed to use the swimmingpool according to the reception. There was lots of noice, loud music played by neighbours who were loudly talking, I’m happy for them that they had fun but at 2:30 at night some people just want to sleep. I called the receptionist and the guard solved it professionally. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is very busy but they offer a wide variety of choices. Last year we were in awe, because of the beautiful garden, maybe our expectations were too high.

The gate by P4 was closed, so the walk to the cars was quite far, but not crazy. The restaurant for breakfast was also VERY hot

Compared to previous visits, this one was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable, and food was divine... The steak, and chocolate mousse was wow!!
