The breakfast was exceptional, with a nice variety and everything was fresh. The location was brilliant and very relaxing and the access to major shops and highways is fantastic, and the ability to be able to walk around the golf course is so lekker.

Only suggestion would be for an honesty bar so I could have a beer on the veranda whilst the women were getting ready. Apart from that it was fantastic

The convoluted access system where you need to get daily codes from the landlord to show at the gate for exit and entrances to the estate. It feels like one is clocking in and clocking out all the time. External visitors are not allowed into the estate.This we found out when requesting additional codes for our visitors. I get it, security is a selling point in South Africa, but what we experienced was a tad over the top. Wonderful estate all the same.

The location is excellent. Secure estate. It is also close to all key amenities in Umhlanga - a 15 min drive to Umhlanga and 30 minutes to Durban CBD- for both business and leisure travels.

No alcohol available on the premises but a short walk to the club house where there was a bar and the food was great value

The getting in and out of the gates was a bit of a pain but that’s the price you pay for the safety it affords. It wasn’t too bad when I got organised with it

It was a lovely big room with a big bathroom and a great shower. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle with tea and coffee. The breakfast was included and was good. The room was cleaned daily and the staff were very nice and helpful. The pool was also very nice. The only downside was not having a fridge in the room for cold drinks but I would certainly stay there again.

Rooms were very spacious, clean and stylish. Andrew was very welcoming, and really helpful letting us retain a room way after check out time as one of our party was unwell. Really appreciated that. Mount Edgcombe is very close to airport, so was ideal location for a couple of days with family who were flying in. Golf course is a good challenge.

Andrew was an amazing host!!! we're very grateful to him for accommodating us and our needs. My daughter was getting married and he was super sweet about it, we greeted with flowers and champagne. he accommodated our camera and makeup crews, and was very patient with us. Thank you so much for making our day super special. We're definitely coming back since we did not get to explore the breath-takingly beautiful place. Thank you! thank you! thank you!

A little difficult to find at night however Andrew did make an exception for us as our flight arrived after the official check in time cut off. Recommend that you arrive in day light!

Beautiful lodge to stay at. Quiet and very comfortable. Great location for those playing golf for the weekend or using the conference facilities offered by Mount Edgecombe.
