The apartment had a terrible smell that I’m guessing is a damp smell caused by the marina. It could be a bit cleaner but overall a great place to stay with excellent facilities.

Extremely easy to locate and enter. Staff met us at the entry gate and explained how everything thing worked. Great location and excellent security.

Lift access would have been helpful

Perfect setting. Close to key tourist attractions. Easy walk to the Waterfront with some beautiful shops and a range of restaurants. Beautiful accomodation.

Although there's a Pick n Pay within a 10-15 minute walk at the V&A mall, having one closer might have been more convenient.

A comfortable and secure environment for your vacation, which is great for a family of 6. A beautiful setting and good security are definitely important factors in rating a this property. Based on the experience I would rate the mountain marina luxury apartment as excellent.

There was no bottled water in the room or on the premises to buy. There was no warning of this fact. And, it would’ve been a long trek to get to some store or restaurant to get some bottled water if you knew where to go. That was a major problem, easily fixed!

The checking out process was not up to expectations. I explained to the WhatsApp contact that I was without a car and that I had a private tour as I left the check out from the shed. I asked if it was possible for me to leave the premises by walking through the closest gate to the waterfront. I was told no, I had to return the keys to the security /reception at the main gate. So I had to order an Uber to pick me up at the apartment as I couldn’t walk to the security with my bag. But just before to leave, someone knocked on the door to escort me by foot to the gate. But the Uber had already arrived. So all in all, I lost money and wasted my time.

The pictures shown on the website when i rented were deceptive. I specifically emailed to ask if this unit had height and therefore a view and was told yes. The pictures do not accurately depict that this units views are limited. The covered verandah really had no view. I would prefer an honest depiction of what I will be getting …… the actual unit versus others in the block that have different outlooks. The property otherwise was a great base for our trip.

We like the central location, the well run security, the walkable area, the cleanliness, and the layout. It made for a great base from which to explore particularly the Waterfront and Mouille point.

When I left the hotel for the airport, the staff called an Uber for me. When I asked the price after the car started moving, it was R450, which was R170 more expensive than the Uber app price. I should have asked the price when the staff suggested it. It was my mistake not to ask, but the staff should have told me the price. Please note that there is a difference of more than R170 depending on whether the staff calls or you call it yourself.

Very nice hotel. Beautiful rooms, beautiful views. The security on the hotel grounds is very tight. And guests have direct access to the waterfront from the hotel grounds.

The door frames and patios needed a good clean... not sure if they have ever been cleaned or swept out? I tried doing the one facing the canal. Both terraces were dirty, and one was covered in leaves that were never brushed up

The property sent me another address than the one received on the email through booking.com so we had to travel back and forth to finally get our keys. There was a mistake with the assigned key, so my sister stayed outside the apartment for 45min until it was resolved. (Please check all the keys, upon receipt), her key was assigned to a past user. The booked property, do not match at all with the photos of my booking, it was a totally different apartment, with approximately the same quality and facilities though. I attach photos of the property as seen on booking and how it actually is
