Room space the shower is incredibly small Carpets are not good it's got that carpet smell Smoking smell in the rooms The rooms are to close to one another and we could here our neighbours TV didn't get much sleep the 1st night reception wasn't helpful at all when we complained 6 times I paid 30zar for a 500ml Sparkling water. That price is way to inflated you could possibly get 3 500ml for that price in a club They never replaced fresh towels the 2nd night we stayed The towels need to be replaced I would have been better off using a paper towel.

Food was good Breakfast chef is really good

Perhaps an elevator between floors, especially for those carrying heavy luggage.

Spacious rooms, Friendly staff and the location is conveniently located close to Numbi gate of the Kruger National Park.

Service was slack , the one thing i remember was how great the breakfast was , and its not the same now . pancakes were rubber . Basic items like it took 30 min to check out because the staff did not know how to operate the credit card machine .... Training , training ...... African sky need to insure staff are up to scratch and enthusiastic ... the bar closed at 9pm and is badly stocked , on the information document it says it closes at 11pm ..... small items like this . the paddle boats are broken but there to see ......

The location of this property is fantastic , and so much more can be done to leverage this property . i have been going to Pine lake in for a number of years . I feel that the property needs work and the service levels are slipping very quickly African Sky need to put some money into refresh , simple small things can make up for the problems , eg : friendlier staff and training .

Restaurant only offered a buffet for evening dinner (I'm not much of a buffet person) but we decided to stay in and eat from the buffet on one of the nights, the 2nd evening we headed off-site to a restaurant with an a la carte menu for dinner. Breakfast was ok - coffee station hadn't been refilled, food wasn't hot and not a large variety on offer - bit disappointing. However, room was clean and well maintained and we enjoyed sitting around the pool and walking down to the lake. Just a pity we did not have a lake facing room...

The complimentary tea / coffee etc: the hotel supplied coffee and tea whitener only. When we requested fresh milk we were told we had to pay for it. On the 26th December a staff member (supervisor) gave us 2 little fresh milk sachets as a "Christmas gift"!!! We were told the hotel PREFERS to give the tea/coffee whiteners. So obviously what their guests "prefer" is of NO IMPORTANCE! And we will have to pay for our preferences. There were quite a few things that needed maintenance (broken bin, shower door, etc). No safe provided and MOST IMPORTANTLY the "Do not disturb" sign was COMPLETELY IGNORED!!!!!!! Very upsetting. Most of the staff were friendly but occasionally our simple requests (like asking for stronger tea) left them flabbergasted! It felt like we, as their guests, were not important at all! We booked our table for Christmas dinner (we were told dinner [buffet] was from 19h00 to 22h00). We arrived for dinner just after 20h00 and was told by another supervisor person that she "was just about to give our table away"!!!! What????? they also started clearing away the food way before 10h00. We will not be rushing back there. We chose Pine Lake Inn from many and we are disappointed. 3 stars! What a joke. This hotel runs as it sees fit and their guests are just a byproduct and a nuisance.

It would have been useful to know that there is no lift. My Mom walks with difficulty (stroke) and had to climb 2 flights of stairs several times a day :(

    The serenity of the place.

No drinking water in the room, no fridge in the room. The tea trail was very poor, no biscuits. The air conditioning was not working in one of the room. The buffet of dinner didn't include a fisch dish or vegeterian or halaal. The doors of the room should have a security chain, inside the room.

    The serenity of the place.

cleanliness was horrible, the room had a smell of dust and moisture and dirt, the beds smelled of sweat, dirty sheets, I found cockroaches in the sheets when uncovered the blankets, air conditioning at half-speed, no refrigerator, no shampoo in the shower. the hotel looks abandoned. The food is not good, nor healthy.

The hotel has a nice lake, but administration so poor, pictures on advertise not true

    Staff attitude.

We found the reception staff were very rude and not helpful at all. Most of the time we didn't even get an answer just a shrug of the shoulders. The restaurant food and staff were much better.
