The couch in the lounge was not very comfortable, but it didn't affect us as we didn't need to watch TV.

Very central location for shopping and hospital needs. The hosts are super friendly, live on-site and very helpful. Booking in and handing over the keys was very easy. The unit is comfortable, quiet and a lovely view. We didn't do any self catering as such as we were out a lot, but the amenities in the kitchen are very adequate.

There is nothing I didn’t like. I loved everything about this place. From the host (what a lovely soul) to the facilities. I had the most peaceful stay. There are solar panels. So even when there was loadshedding, I didn't notice because there was always electricity. The place is beautiful. There is a balcony with AMAZING VIEWS. It felt like home away from home. I felt safe the entire stay.

I stayed for a month here and I loved it so much I didn’t want to leave! Laura and Walter were so kind and so helpful, and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The cottage has everything that is needed for both a short and a longer stay. The property has the most amazing view over the Melville Koppies reserve and it is so private, peaceful and quiet; and I never felt unsafe at all. Just around the corner you have Melville which has plenty of restaurants and cafes, and not too far down the road you have a supermarket, so it was very convenient. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

nothing, everything was great. However during my stay it was quite cold and the heater in the living area was not enough to heat the entire apartment

everything was just as expect and it felt at home, Laura was extremely welcoming and always ready to assist. I loved how easy it was to move in an out of the facility and the fact that there were restaurants and convenient shops close by.

Maybe installing a shower door instead of having the shower curtain.

The hosts were super friendly and helpful but didn't intrude on our privacy. Even though it's right around the corner from restaurants & pubs it was very quiet. We found everything we needed in the property (hair dryer, iron, etc), so no need to take your own. Our car was safely parked. Sitting on the stoep looking out on the Melville Koppies was very relaxing.

We loved the view, it looks out on a big part of Joburg. The host, Mrs. Laura was very welcoming towards us and showed immense kindness and hospitality. We loved our stay at La Couronne.

the location represents everything…bustling night life on the 7th street and beautiful nature view from the balcony. it’s also within less that 5km from several shops and supermarkets. I walked for 7km within the neighborhood. it’s peaceful. inside too has everything- from dstv to hot water, fully equipped kitchen and a large living room. it is highly recommended…

The restroom is next to the bedroom, which isn't ideal, but also nothing that we found overly disturbing. Nothing else.

Nice hosts, who respected our privacy. The location is great, especially the fact that the balcony is higher up than the next doors neighbors, which guarantees a great view at the hill and also gives a feeling of seclusion while being in the city. The kitchen is very well equipped and our host gave us quite specific instructions on where to find what, which was definitely a first time to that degree and rather helpful.

There was a water issue in the mornings.

Check in was quick and easy. I liked that we could come and go as we please as we were handed the keys. They use solar energy, so loadshedding was not an issue. The host was very nice.
