Like stepping back into a more genteel world. The room was exquisite with fresh flowers and antiques - I’ve never had sheets of such quality in my life before. The food was absolutely top notch fine dining, four courses including fresh asparagus in a delicate sauce and fillet done to your specifications. Breakfast also 5 stars. Service all incredible. Treat yourselves!

What a beautiful beautiful place! In the middle of a stunning landscape, in a very nicely done room with all the luxury you need, warm welcoming hosts and absolutely excellent food - we felt this must be what it is like in paradise. One of the most special places I have stayed at in my life. Stay for more than just a night to really catch your breath and relax, because this is the feeling this place gives you right away. If we are ever lucky enough to come back, we would stay for several nights and explore the surrounding areas and its beatiful scenic drives day by day, go for hikes in the morning and cool off at the pool in the afternoon.

Everything... Excellent in every respect. Very comfortable room, with crispy clean white linen, comfortable bed, so much attention to detail. The food was exceptionally good.. Dinner and breakfast.. Healthy home made spread beautifully presented. Stunning views with a fabulous swimming pool! Fresh orchid in the room, lindt chocolate slab on the bed, good quality toiletries. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Highly recommended!

If your travelling the R62 and don't stop here you will have missed the best b&b ,the food is beyond excellent ,if your booking Its a must to order dinner .We have stayed here several times in recent years and in 22 years of travelling the Karoo never found anything better ,Elmarie and Kobus are exceptional hosts and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is an exceptional experience Geoff wood

An old ostrich farm in a magical location in the foothills. We stayed in the old farm house rather than in the main building. Comfortable - with a dash of bygone glory - and we slept well. We were hoping to do a bit of stargazing as the Little Karoo is famous for it and the skies were clear, but had to drive away from the building to do so due to some bright lights on the outside of the building which we couldn't turn off. We had a lovely ostrich steak dinner and an equally nice breakfast!

I only have very small critiques, as our experience was truly amazing, but I value feedback. I think that they could swap out their light bulbs to a warmer LED setting. This is only my preference though and I fully acknowledge that it is only my opinion. I just like LED bulbs with warmer color settings for living spaces. It seemed to contrast a little with the more classical decoration. Also, the wifi was a bit weak, but that actually ended up helping us unplug and unwind. I mean these only as feedback for the proprietors, and these things in no way take away from the amazing time we had. If you are reading this as a potential guest, do it. Stay here, you will love it!

Holy cats, where to start? This place is FANTASTIC. From the location, to the decor, to the general "vibe" it gives off everything about our stay at the Ostrich Palace was top notch. It is peacefully nestled away from the main thoroughfare, giving you the sensation of quiet and seclusion. The region is mostly desert and scrub brush and suddenly you find yourself at the entrance to the compound, flanked by lovely landscaped flower beds. As you drive in, the lush lawn and gardens provide such an impressive counterpoint to the land you were just driving through. The facility is very well cared for and it shows. Our accommodation was richly appointed and very comfortable. Of particular note, the robe provided was the softest and most comfortable my wife and I have ever found and we are trying to find out the brand. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We loved learning more about them and the guesthouse. The food was spectacular and the presentation showed elegance and attention to detail. We had dinner and breakfast there for the duration of our stay and would repeat that without a second thought. The views are amazing and we loved that one of the staff's dogs accompanied us on afternoon walks. All of that AND for an amazing price. All in all, this place is an Oasis of relaxation and as much as I would love to save this gem all for myself, such quality should be publicized.

This place is just great, 2 rooms super well decorated and furnished in a very special place with a very special history! The owners are great, very friendly and super interesting. And the food (we had dinner) was marvelous ! Unfortunately we stayed only one night ( both rooms with some of our kids) and had no opportunity to explore the area.

Our hosts, Kobus and Elmare were super friendly and welcoming. The accommodation in the old carriage house was large and well equipped. The pool area and views towards the Swartberg were stunning. The jewel in the crown was the superb food served at dinner, and the friendly dogs were a lot of fun.
