Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. We had a bit of an issue regarding the room we booked online and the one they gave us upon arrival, but that was sorted after some time. There was no electricity in the area from 5am to 10pm and the establishment's generator wasn't working. The following day we didn't have water, no one switched on the back up water.
The guy who works there (Liyakha) was very helpful.

But no electric blanket and the shower problem by that time, its very hard to open the shower door,, maybe time goes on they fix the miner's

The number listed online is not working. I had to drive around the town for 3 hours asking directions and no one knew where the place is. And we couldn't contact the place. When we finally found it after 22:00 they were already closed.

*The toilets were not clean and one room was missing a toilet seat. *The noise from the kitchen and lounge TV was disturbing. *The light in the corridor was eventually switched off but, the light by the geyser was too bright and close to the window, couldn't sleep as the blinds didn't hide the light enough and it looked like "day" all night *Aircons not working. *Pillows too soft for me.
Had an option to select own rooms, which were next to each other, as we didn't want to be far apart and chose the rooms on the corridor. There was a JoJo Tank back up for the water shedding that we experienced on checkout morning. Previous reviews were taken into account and every room had its own gate remote for access. A quiet neighbourhood and Bra Pat was a talkative, friendly host.

Access in and out of the facility perhaps they can give guests remote/code

The number on the site isn't working I had to find their functional contact no. On google, and so I called 2 days before arrival to arrange early check in but luckily I delayed so I arrived exactly at 2pm. I was told the room isn't ready after a good 12hrs drive n early check in arrangement still the room wasn't ready(at 2pm) no one at the reception and upon arrival we were asked when did we book n I must send my booking details via whatsapp ended up seeing my room just before 3pm. Like that wasn't enough, 30mins before check out we were reminded of leaving. no consideration of the fact that we were shown our room late. There's a room for a big improvement concerning customer service. We waited for the room to be ready midday yet we were reminded about check out before the time in the morning, double standards
The area is exceptional! Quiet and just what you need when you booked an accommodation. Highly recommend the area

Nothing every thing was perfect
The staff very freindly and the place is exquisite.... The host showed us the pool and braai area... Its a Pity we were in a hurry... Hopefully next time will stay longer

The location on booking.com is incorrect, it took us to the opposite side of town. We drove around looking for the place for 3 hours. And the contact number listed is invalid

No reception. My room was close to the lounge and kitchen and as a result there was a lot of noise until around 11pm. The room was also not that clean and 1 window did not close properly.
I liked the location very much, it was close to where I was visiting. The area was also very quiet.

The bell is attached to the gate, which could expose visitors to hijacking. I had to unlock the car and went out of it to go and press the bell. I must also mention that I made a phone call by the gate but I was also panicking when the gate took too long to open.
The location is far away from the town's main road noise. It is very quiet for peaceful sleep.

The staff was very terrible, never answered their calls. He sounded drunk on the phone. We had to wait for over 1 hour at the gate for him. The service is terrible, I am no longer interested
