Lack of shower enclosure in our room.

Fabulous breakfast! Well located; no safety/security concerns during the day, nor in the evening as long as you are attentive and stay together. Our hosts were excellent and very helpful with suggestions and responsive to our needs.

Travelling as a solo lady it can seem a bit intimidating but staff are great and will order taxis (which are so cheap) but quite a handy location

Fantastic Hotel. Wonderful staff, beautiful room, very comfy bed and great location. The two main team members I met, Chris and Michel just went above and beyond as hosts. Based on info I gave before arriving, Chris gave me a set of great recommendations for climbing Table Mountain, running and swimming in the area. The location was perfect with an easy safe walk to restaurants. I had the most wonderfully relaxing stay.

Everything about our stay at Rouge on Rose was great. The staff and owners were fantastic, they made our stay very easy and helped us out with queries and provided us helpful information. The area itself is nice and safe, and we walked around no problem. The rooms were very good sizes, and the included breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here, and I know I will when I stay in Cape Town again.

Nothing not to like.

Great stay here. The staff couldnt have been more accommodating, the breakfast is great and if you are looking for a city centre location then you almost cant get any better. The room was extremely spacious, shower and bathroom great and the set up in general was superb.

Honestly, the ONLY thing I can think of that I didn't love was the fact that it seemed the A/C device shut off each night for a couple hours. This resulted in me waking up and feeling pretty warm. The first night I thought we just didn't have the temp set correctly, but the last night I realized it just shut off for a while. It could also be a part of the load-shedding that is done in Cape Town, but we never did ask the owners about it.

The breakfast was amazing! Over the course of our 3 breakfasts, we tried most everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. The french toast was about the best we had ever had, and the coffee was outstanding. The best part was the lovely conversations we had with the hotel staff each day, as they were all so friendly and welcoming.

Michel and Jeannot were fantastic hosts. The rooms were large, very comfortable and interestingly decorated, and all the staff were friendly and efficient. In sort, we had a fabulous stay at Rouge on Rose and would definitely stay there again if we're ever back in Cape Town

Great location, beautiful, pristine rooms, friendly service. The bathroom is particularly wonderful, equipped with a large bathtub and amazing shower. Nice breakfasts as well. Michel, Jeanot, Sam, Angie and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make you feel like home. Highly recommend Rouge on Rose during your stay in Capetown.

The staff is friendly and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to go and they were all excellent. The room had everything we needed and more. The breakfast is amazing.

The staff were all great. Michele on reception was especially informative about Cape Town and the waiter on breakfast (sorry can't remember his name) was hilarious with his dry sense of humour. Breakfasts were very tasty. Lovely spacious room with individual decor - a true boutique hotel.
