Gorgeous hikes right out of the property. Each house has everything it needs and creates its own little haven while being part of the larger property.

The hosts were very lovely and attended to all the needs we had as guests. The views from the hiking trail which is just off their accommodation are great. The big waterfall is definitely worth viewing although your legs may hate you after the long hike.

We are from JHB so we had no idea that it is cold in the nights. Luckily the house had electric blankets and a fire place

The owners are amazing. They brought us a home baked bread that was so good.

    Can't think of anything.

It was absolutely incredible. Rustic but clean and well thought out decor accommodation set right next to a lovely little stream that the kids can play in. Nice short hike to a waterfall which makes it easy with small kids. Natural pool was lovely. Owners were very thoughtful and friendly. We will be back again. Oh yes don't forget the friendly dogs and cats who our kids loved.

-We were all a little taken aback by how close the other guests are, especially the cottage right next to Stone Cottage, as well as the hosts' house. We felt like we had to keep our voices down when we were outside braaiing or playing a game of 30 Seconds, which lessened the spontaneity aspect a little. My suggestion is to clarify this on booking.com. -I enquired about the condition of the road before into the farm before our stay and the hosts assured me a low-riding sedan would be fine. We ended up taking an SUV, which was fortuitous as the road is quite rough. -Not Tegwaan's fault per se, but included in the stay is the opportunity to fish at Troutways across the way. Two people in our party are experienced fly-fishers and they were convinced the dams weren't stocked at all. Needless to say it wasn't a particularly fruitful fishing expedition. -Charging R60 per dog per night is a bit cheeky, but I suppose it's to cover additional cleaning should it be required?

-Beautiful spot that's easy to access from the N4. Lovely little touches throughout, like affordable firewood, organic eggs and lemons, well-stocked kitchen. -The hosts responded promptly to questions beforehand, and during our stay, and Renia was very friendly and informative. -The walks and hikes around the farm are worth it for the views alone. -Our dogs had the time of their lives. Note that the cottages and even the farm aren't completely fenced in, and other guests also bring dogs, so it will be a challenge if yours aren't socialised.

The bathrooms of the smaller units are outside; not a problem for most of us, but inconvenient for older people who need the toilet during the night.

The hosts are helpful and friendly. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are rustic, fully equipped and very comfortable. On the first morning we were surprised with delicious freshly-baked sourdough bread, one loaf for each unit. A variety of hiking routes, from easy to challenging, with waterfalls, rock pools, open planes and forests, viewpoints and stone circles built by unknown civilisations.

The house where we stayed was under pine trees. There is a water stream nearby and the sound of water eased our mind. The environment is full of green and it was so refreshing. The owner of the place is a couple who are very warm and friendly. The information book of nearby place helped us to spend the wonderful 3 days+.

We had a great stay, would definitely recommend! The surrounding nature is stunning, waking up to the sound of birds + getting some beautiful eggs from the thriving chicken in the garden is really special. Also, seeing all the great projects the owners are driving (permaculture, eco-friendliness, link to local community, etc.) is very inspirational! Thank you for everything!

The roof especially bathroom was not clean - cobwebs. I would also suggest having a hand towel rail and some hand soaps in the bathrooms.
