There was hardly anything that we did not like, most activities and the area itself was new to both of our experience together, which was lovely.

The staycation was exceptional and truly exceeded our expectations. The surrounding amenities were inviting and encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back!

We stayed with Paul in Marloth Park, South Africa, and had an absolutely wonderful time. Paul was an outstanding host — incredibly attentive, always available to answer any questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully furnished. Everything was perfect, and we truly couldn’t have asked for more!

Truly a gem..tastefully and beautifully decorated. The studio completely immerses itself into nature. It's impossible to not appreciate how the unit has been deliberately designed with great intentionality on making use of all of that Marloth has. Breathtaking views of eager animals: sun kissed deck, and soothing sounds of nature. Unit is offgrid and makes use of responsible water usage methods making it a pleasant stay for those looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Bonus points - owner gave as ample accurate information about the unit itself, Marloth Park, Kruger and Mozambique. Owner was very friendly and helped us when we needed help.

There is not very sufficient lighting outside. Some solar lights did not go on & the ones that did, did not last very long.

Accommodation is fully equipped, neat, private and near the local shops and petrol station. We had regular visitors of wildlife, could braai and take a quick dip in the pool. Close to Crocodile Bridge and Malelane KNP Gates. We loved the day trips in the Park 😄❤

We loved everything about the property, we loved the pool the most. It was very hot and the pool kept us cool. Terrapin seems small in the pictures but the abundant amount of natural light coming in from all directions makes it spacious and cosy. The unit is quite private despite the lack of physical boundaries with the neighbourhood (fences or walls) but nature plays a big role in covering up the space with a dense native vegetation. Attention to detail and high quality fixtures/appliances adds up to the luxurious feel and the hosts ensure enough information is provided upon arrival. Would I ever return? Absolutely, this was one of the best experiences I had in a long time.

Nothing, everything is beautiful

The studio is a work of art and secluded. You have to see it for yourself, the pictures don’t do it justice. The wildlife roam freely and they are so friendly. The highlight of our stay, was the close interaction with the Zebra’s and the Impala’s, which was such a fulfilling experience. Paul is an exceptional host and assisted us with whatever we required. The was a minor issue with the solar power the first night, and Paul responded swiftly and solved the problem in the best way possible (much appreciated😁) This studio is perfect if you want to be close to Kruger National Park, you will be provided with all the info regarding game drives. If you are into cycling, you can hire mountain bikes to explore Marloth Park (enquire about the bike rentals) Do check out their other properties, “Ochre house” and “Next door Kruger”😁 Thank you Paul & Les for making our stay memorable!

Let's start with Paul...what a beautiful soul. From the moment we booked, giving us useful info to the day we arrived, he spent so much time guiding us, and we felt at home. When we needed assistance, he was there in less than 2 minutes🤗. Everything about this place is great, and the design is beautifully done with the solar system, so there is no issue with loadshedding. We loved the friendly animals that visited every morning and evening. The deck/patio is great for relaxing, it has a beautiful intimate pool and braai area with all supplies included, you can also dine there. The kitchen has all the appliances a self-catering home needs. The bedroom has a king-size bed that is very comfortable, and there's a fan and aircon. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. If you need to get away from the city, Terrapin Studio will make you forget your own home. There is so much to explore, book for yourself😊.
