Staff attitude should improve in some areas. Check-in process was too long and in medium atmosphere ... (in such hotel it's shameful). On one breakfast one of waitresses tried to force us to seat where we did't want (why??) On another breakfast my ordered eggs were not delivered to me.

Amazing breakfasts (with oysters each morning !), very nice pool area, beautiful views all hotel sides. Generally great hotel (in spite of some staff attitude problems).

* No Green Tea in our suite despite requests * Requested Memory Foam Pillows [ i requested strictly no feather pillows and linen...sadly this was not done, they attended to this when we entered the room after check-in, they eventually located 2 x worn-out orthopedic pillows and changed the linen *No fresh papaya * No ear buds and cotton pads...housekeeping and the cleaners claimed that the hotel was out of stock

The hotel generally fulfils expectations for 5 star hotel, but price was very high.

The room generally matched expectation for 5 star hotel but nothing exceptional. Location is very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, a bit beyond expectations.

Hotel should not be a 5 star. 4 star at best. Rooms need updating and shower went from scalding hot to freezing cold on its own and management failed to fix in the 6 days we stayed there.

There was a flood/leak and lifted carpets on the 4th floor, this made our stay less enjoyable. We looked at the prices and paid R40k for 1 adult and 1 child this was during half term break. If we had booked to come the following weekend the price was R16k so not sure what the point is of penalising parents trying to take their kids on holiday. We received no discount for booking with a child he is 11 and got charged as an adult.

Too low light in the rooms, like in cave. Hotel became an older and some equipment too. In one of the elevators did not work bottom for 1 floor. Hair dryer is terrible old and used. Some chairs was a broken. First room was with roof view, but I ordered suit with see view. After a skin reception room was changed for see view with balcony

Location is very comfortable. Direct enter to the shopping center and to the walking touristic area. Good breakfasts and helpful staff

We were a bit disappointed with the waiting staff. We have been to lots of hotels within our trip and the staff have been so outstanding and attentive but the staff here weren’t very engaging or hospitable. It was the same for both breakfast and at the pool. It wasn’t a personal experience here.

Fantastic location, 1 entrance goes directly to the seafront where you can do a coastal walk all the way to camps bay and the other entrance takes you directly onto the v&a waterfront with all the main restaurants and shopping centre. The concierge were very helpful when we enquired about trips that we wanted to do and reception were also friendly. There is a pool on the rooftop which is a nice addition for when it is hot and you want the morning to explore and afternoon to relax and cool down. I recommend getting a room with a view of the sea because we saw dolphins from our room on several occasions.

Dated property. In much need of a refurbishment. Stayed here 18 years ago, and felt like time stood still.
