Clearer communication with all guests regarding proper handling of the kayaks and SUPs is necessary - many guests/children were not clipping the vessels onto the rope after use. We helped where we could.

Brilliant location on the lagoon, beautiful serviced chalets - really a luxurious self catering experience. We booked a water facing chalet, it was so relaxing to be right on the water. We enjoyed our easter break! It was busier than our last visit, but understandably so.

I liked the location and was amazed at all the Le creuset everything in the kitchen and concluded owner must be their distributor in RSA. Unfortunately did not realise the middle cabins meant no view of water.

The staff attend to your every need. The location is gorgeous, the property is breathtaking. I loved the addition of kayaks and paddle boards at no additional cost. This will be my go-to location in Knysna.

Great value for money, nice lodge on the hill with a lake view, they offer free kayaks, the accommodation offers anything you need to cook or have a bbq, down the road is a lovely restaurant, but overall it just gives you this peaceful feeling when you’re in a wooden lodge with a stunning view

Beautiful cabin and all facilities were provided. The check in was friendly and professional. The location was impressive and very calming.

Not having a shop in walking distance for groceries or just a quick fix of necessities. We had to drive into town for the nearest shop just to get the bare minimum would have loved to spare the drive and be able to walk instead.

It was an intimate resort, not too many guests yet everyone was friendly. It was very tranquil as well and although we had a fun time in the sun, we felt relaxed as if we had break away from life.

Really can’t think of anything! Though it would be nice if all the drilling nearby ceased and no more development was allowed in this Garden of Eden……

The location is one of the best on planet Earth: a secluded nest from which to watch Nature in all its magnificence: the lagoon, the flora and the distant Outiniqua mountains; the many swooping and calling birds, replaced by bats after dark….. it’s all so beautiful and is the epitome of inside-outside living with lovely terraces flanked by great trees and breath-taking views from all aspects. Unlike many neighbouring properties Under Milkwood doesn’t try to dominate its position; it sits comfortably and quietly into its surroundings and is mostly invisible from the water… Someone in the past set this property up using imagination and sympathy for the environment. The current staff are the best: helpful, efficient and so kind!
