Not a fault of the owners but the roads to the venue are not the best, a 4x4 would be recommended during wet weather. during dry conditions a Sedan would be possible with careful driving

The fishing was exceptional. And should continue to improve once the trout stocking policies mature in the years to come. A lot of upgrades have been made to the property by the new owners.

Read the directions from the host, they are needed to find the best road. The road to Dulstroom is not always in the best conditions, but there are other roads you can take. Please consult with the owners when traveling for their input. The service is excellent and friendly.

Fantastic, well stocked dams, lovely service, friendly people, well maintained rooms and dams. perfect for everybody! Beatiful far and views. Definitely worth a visit. The houses were well kept, beautiful, spacious and unqiue with good character. The fireplace was a key highlight for our boardgames and the views made our coffee taste better. Exceptional place, with loads of potential and excellent facilities. It was good value for money as well. Perfect for groups large and small.

I am an avid fisherman and the new owners have been very intentional to make this a worthy destination.

Some of the tiles in the shower were loose. The drive up to the property is a bit challenging and if you are planning to drive from Dullstroom’s side you need to take a one hour detour as the shorter route is not suitable to drive. On the morning of checkout the staff walked into the unit unannounced.

It is a beautiful property. The cabin was well-kept. The fireplace and generous supply of wood was deeply appreciated. The cabins are situated near the far end of the farm which sits against a hill and stream. It is very peaceful and picturesque. The hosts are extremely caring, friendly, and helpful.

What an unforgettable holiday! The grounds at Valley of the Rainbow are absolutely stunning—beautifully kept and incredibly peaceful. We stayed in the Mill Room, a modern and thoughtfully designed space with spectacular views of the river and nearby dams just steps away. The cozy fireplace kept us warm throughout the night—no extra blankets needed. If you're looking for top-notch trout fishing near Dullstroom, this is the place to be. The dams are well stocked with both rainbow and brown trout, and we managed to catch several, including some brown trout over 50cm! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced angler, you'll find these dams both accessible and rewarding. There are also lovely hiking trails with breathtaking views of the valley and dams—perfect for nature lovers. Valley of the Rainbow was more than worth the 7-hour drive, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

I would say there was not a network, but it wasn't a big deal because we needed peace of mind. No phones just us, and we got that.

Wow what a Gem! It was beyond beautiful, peaceful and breathtaking. Very clean, very friendly staff! The trout fishing is very nice. Would recommend if you want to get away from the city.

Not that we didn’t like it, but a lounge area to view something like a sports event would’ve topped it off. For the type of atmosphere they have perhaps having a “public” area where guests can come together to watch a rugby match, and use the facilities to braai their own meat, perhaps with a bar stocked and operated by the venue would create an exceptional experience. But the lack of it didn’t take away from our experience. Even as avid rugby supporters we opted for fishing rather than watching, but taking from views of other potential clients this could be a great opportunity.

The setting is superb. A pleasant surprise was the the hikes we went on. We mentioned that the outside lights were not working and they were replaced very quickly. When i mentioned that I'd forgotten to bring s torch, one was brought to our cabin.

What a gem! I'm actually at a loss for words. A piece of paradise. If you really want to getaway from everything, this is the spot for you. Follow their directions closely and you'll have a seamless trip! I'll definitely be going back.

The room was quoted as far from the parking. While we were there, no one caught any fish so it was disappointing for my son.

There was no space to hang up / unpack clothes The walk way to the tent was slippery but this could be from all the current rain The head height clearance along the side was a bit low

Glamping tent was a good size and the bathroom offered all the amenities required Full size fridge (included a freezer) and washing up / kitchen storage was ample Weather was cold and there was electric blanket and heaters Was extremely private and quiet Room serviced daily

The only downside was the roads to the Estate. But that is expected as it is a rural area.

The peace and tranquility was amazing. The views were breathtaking.
