Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere is need to start renovating the rooms as some parts need a refresh.
Despite the issues with lack of centralised electricity, the proprieters are doing their best to keep this establishment functioning. It is a real challenge.

FranceToo few kitchen items (everything only x2), no spare towels so need to wait for the washing been dried in the evening, TV in bedroom no reception nor Internet, no spare blanket or throw-over for the couch. WiFi needs time to reset after one of the multiple shutdowns of electricity.
Spacious rooms, large comfortable bed, smart TV in living room, oven + micro wave + good furniture with much space, washing and room service, friendly and helpful personnel, correct WiFi, generator when power load shedding.

ItalyManagement and security is absent, also they could be more energy and environmentally savy. They only give duvet so you are forced to use AC in a country and continent with constant power cuts so it’s all on generator and they change towels every day even if only used for one shower - I asked not to but they still did it. Some more plants / green would make it asp nicer.

South AfricaTowels in the bathroom are old and need replacing. And some cooking utensils are also way too old such as the pan, and need replacing.
Friendly staff, clean, spacious, well serviced and located close to business and shopping amenities. The place has power 24/7 and therefore one can’t feel the effects of the countrywide loadshedding

United KingdomTv didn’t work in bedroom. Toilet leaked at the bottom. Sofa very uncomfortable. Floor was dirty, dirty socks every day after walking on it for 1 min
Aircon in both rooms, Netflix on tv in living room. Kitchen well equipped. Plenty of storage space. Road has been levelled out - I know a lot of reviews complain about the road

ZambiaThe room was hot, one of the aircons in the living room area was not very effective. Management to consider installing some form of shed to reduce the effect of the hot weather especially for the rooms that face the direct afternoon sun.
The challenge was the lack of breakfast or at least a restaurant that offers breakfast so we had to go outside the property to look for breakfast as we were not able to cook due to our very short stay. The location however, is very convenient. Despite loadshedding in the country, the property tried to maintain constant power supply. Well done!

United KingdomIt would be great to have breakfast onsite/delivered to rooms. The final stretch of dirt road, is not great, but not the fault of the venue. The pool was not cleaned to a great standard so we didn't use it. Some issues with insects (a few roaches, an issue in Lusaka generally I think), and you have to ask for the Mosquito nets (but they do provide these). But we would stay there again, we loved it!
The rooms are huge! Good location, quiet and easy to get to Longacres Mall to stock up. Very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic cleaning and laundry service. We loved the fact that they had a backup generator, it saved our holiday with all the load shedding going on. The WiFi was also brilliant, which was great for relaxing.

Kenya1. The only knock off the rating is the short gravel road leading to the apartments once off the tarred Alick Nkhata which has gotten worse. The bricks thrown on the road are rough on low cars. I hope that will be attended to soon.
1. quick service and the staff were very pleasant. 2. location is central 3. I stayed at this property some 6 years ago and it was great to see that standards have been maintained plus the inclusive on an onsite restaurant now
