Our plan was to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss from Meknes and it was a very last minute decision to stay overnight in this city. Although we booked very last minute, upon arrival we were kindly welcomed and the staff helped us arrange a private driver to visit Volubilis and Moulay Idriss immediately. They were also very kind to accommodate to our early morning departure and made breakfast for us. Very much appreciate their hospitality!

Exceptionally preserved riad with an rooftop terrace with amazing views. It is located at walking distance of all tourists sites in Meknes. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The optional vegetarian diner we ordered was very memorable.

Hassan comes to your meeting point. Offers his warm smile and welcome. He is the Gem of the Ryad . A short walk up a winding street, you find a door which hides the jewel that is inside. All moroccan tiles and cedar wood, you have stepped back in time. The main floor is truly a wonder of detail, arches, columns, and light. Hassan offers you the traditional welcome of tea and cookies, while you soak in the color and space. The first flight of stairs take you to the main floor with the bedrooms and suites. Completely furnished with authentic fabrics and very comfortable furniture and beds. The baths are modern and there is plenty of hot water at your disposal. The next flight of stairs leads up to the two terraces with views across to the modern city. A public park is directly below, with paths, many types of trees and plants. The Breakfast and Dinners on offer are nourishing and more food than one can finish. All cooked to order and delicious. Hassan is happy to accommodate your desires and can assist with any arrangements for tours. He also will help you to get oriented with the map that is provided. Meknes while a large city, the Medina is not a big as in other cities you may visit. Very easy to wander and not get lost. The restaurants are plentiful, with very tasty food. Some offer huge roof terraces to sit and watch the theatre that is ongoing in the squares and other areas. Or choose a sidewalk cafe and just relax and enjoy a coffee or tea. You return to the Ryad, and Hassan's welcome back to your home away from home. He is happy to organize excursions to the many sites in the area as well as offer you books which explain everything about the surrounding area. We cannot thank Hassan enough for his kind hospitality and expert services.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Menthe et Citron in Meknes. The place has so much charm and authentic character, perfectly located in the medina yet peaceful and welcoming. Aymeric, our host, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The riad is full of beautiful spaces to relax and is a perfect base to explore Meknes and the region. The property has been beautifully renovated. Multiple houses were combined into one riad with multiple interior courtyards. Everything was done to a very high-quality. The rooms are lovely. There is a roof deck with small swimming pool and a beautiful view over the Medina. The employees were all very welcoming.

The staff and management of this riad are truly the best. They are friendly, kind and helpful in so many ways. Breakfast was good and the two rooms we had in the riad were spotless. This riad is old so shows its age, but that is part of what makes its special. I highly recommend Riad Safir. The location offers easy access to all tourist sites.

The Riad is in the Medina so you feel right in the heart of the city. The house itself is magical. It has been in the same family for 4 generations and is obviously much loved. Full of traditional items and in a classical Riad design with courtyard. Our host was charming and helpful and speaks several languages.

The riad is very characteristic, indeed is situated inside Meknes Medina. The owner is very polite and his wife make a special breakfast included in the tax and if you want she could make also a traditional dinner. The house has and old style but is very clean and has an amazing terrace were we saw the sunrise and sunset. we had a real Moroccan experience there, we felt like part of their family ! Absolutely recommend

Our stay was fantastic! The riad is 600 years old, architecture and design are so authentic and take you to the journey through time. Our room was big with high ceiling and very comfortable. The hosts are so lovely people, it was a great pleasure to have conversations with them. Breakfast was traditional, good and tasty. If you are visiting Meknes, you should definitely stay in this riad as it’s not just a hotel but an extraordinary experience that will enrich you Moroccan trip.

A perfect place to discover the beauty of a traditional house (riad) in the ancient medina of Meknes. The interior garden is amazing. Hosts are really great. Strongly recommended to eat their home-made delicious tagine served at dinner (you should tell them in advance).
