We were lucky enough to be there when there was a high spring tide and it was impressive!! The view from our room was beautiful. The staff were really lovely; helpful and relaxed but attend our needs. We ate in the restaurant the first night and enjoyed a very good meal. The town of Totnes was wonderful; full of very unusual shops, good cafes and excellent restaurants. It is family run, friendly and relaxed. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with all we needed for our stay. The gardens are kept beautifully and there is a lovely atmosphere throughout. The food was average pub grub - the complimentary breakfast was plentiful. On the whole, the staff were attentive and helpful.
