Great location, clean and quiet, all modern renovations inside. There were so drinks in the fridge and the host said they were for me, free. This is much better than a mini bar with a price list. Also, they served the best breakfast I ever had in Italy. There were sweet and salty choices, including a pistachio pie that was amazing.

Exceptionally attractive rooms — big, wood floors, lots of light (there is one smaller room that isn’t especially bright), balconies, nice bathrooms, comfortable beds. Fine breakfast. She has an incredible system to let you in instantly when you arrive, using her Apple Watch and an app. Location close to all the sights. Catania is busy, gritty and great, but Il Leone Blu is a quiet refuge in the middle of all that action. Our hostess was quick to arrange a taxi to the airport — so helpful. Allowed us to store bags for our late afternoon flight after checkout

Hector was an exceptional host. Our room was huge and was beautifully appointed. Don't let the exterior dissuade you, once inside it's beautiful! A large marble staircase leads to the reception area and the rooms. But the real highlight was the breakfast! Not only was it delicious, but it was very well presented and delivered to our room. There was so much food we couldn't eat it all. I suggest getting the mix of savory and sweet. It is probably the best breakfast I have had in all my trips to Italy. The location was perfect, only a short walking distance to the Piazza Duomo where all the action is. I highly recommend staying here on your visit to Catania. It's a wonderful value for the money. 10 stars 🌟
