Hotels that guests love in Palermo
  • Excellent location (city center with many sightseeings around), great place if you want to live surrounded by local Palermo people and feel the local atmosphere, modern design, new furniture and equipment, light, clean and cosy appartment! Very kind hosts! We spent unforgetable days there during our honeymoon! Very romantic too:)!

  • The hotel made the room special for our honeymoon and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the theatre square and breakfast served to our room each morning. Fab location to see the sights of Palermo and the hotel offers a shuttle service to go to see the beautiful nearby beach too!

  • Excelent!! Best stay ever!! Very friendly staff. Very clean and very well prepered room. Owner of place took care about our stay: showed us on map best Palermo places and best Street Food places. It was our honeymoon so we have in room prepered service. Very good Price for stay. Better than five stars hotel. You can feel more like at home.

  • Great staff, really helpful and pleasant. Spa was great, massage too. Lovely breakfast and dinner also. Great large suite room. Thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon stay!! Great location, easy to get into town. Bars and restaurants nearby.

  • My husband and I spent the first few days of our honeymoon here and we absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Suite which was modern airy and spacious. The staff were so friendly and informative and helped us with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and each day there was an afternoon treat in our room when we returned after an excursion either fresh baked cake or fresh fruits which was such a nice touch! Highly recommended.

Orto Botanico di Palermo
Big on biodiversity? This botanic garden isn’t just a peaceful oasis in the middle of a bustling city. It’s a living lesson in Mediterranean flora and fauna. Over twelve thousand species of seeds, flowers, and fungus grow in these leafy lanes and musty greenhouses. Among the menu of vegetation, you’ll even find a gene bank that preserves rare species for the future of science.

How well restored were the castles in Palermo?

Unfortunatelly, most castles were partialy open to visitors due to restauration (still you have to pay the full price), the Archeological museum was closed, but you can visit the city council's premises (municipio) for free. In Siracusa the main museum was also closed for restauration. The must see place to explore Sicilian rich history is Agrigento (Vale dei templi). If you have a chance, take a guide (5 of us paid 10 euros each for a 2-hour walk)- it was worth it!
