The hotel is owned and operated by a lovely couple who do their best to meet all requests. It is located near the beach and a pass for an umbrella and beach chairs are given to you as part of your booking. This is a real bonus, as the beach has reserved booking areas you would would otherwise have to pay for. It is also within walking distance of Chioggia, a small town. The owners also operate a small pizzeria next to the hotel which is where you have a delightful breakfast each morning and can count on for a good dinner at the end of the day. If your destination is the city of Venice, this may not be the best location, as there are no water buses to the city, but there is a regular bus. Ask the proprietors for the 'how to' with organizing a ticket, it can be tricky.

Boasting a sea-front location and views of the Gulf of Venice, Hotel Mediterraneo is a few steps from the beach in Sottomarina di Chioggia.

This hotel is a hidden gem--two entrances/exits to room: one into a courtyard, the other out next to a canal. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast delicious. One of our favorite places we stayed on our three-week adventure in Italy.

The room was large and very clean.. The people there were so nice, and so willing to get you anything you needed, water, ice. The breakfast was very good. They recommended the restaurant just down the street and it had the best pizza we have ever had. The food was great and very reasonable.
