The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Parking on site. Decent location, delicious food and drink within walking distance. Museums nearby. Good base for making trips from!

Room was spacious and clean, the in-room bath was big enough for two people, and they had more perks than I even remember seeing when booking, like free snacks scattered throughout the day, a drink bar, etc. Staff was very friendly, most spoke English, and even the shuttle drivers were energetic and made you feel like you were a special guest.

The rooms at Kinnotake Tonosawa comes with a private hot spring bath. They also include a coffee machine. The hotel has free WiFi, and a terrace.

The location is awesome, I can easily get to everywhere in Hakone. And the staff who helped me checking in was so welcoming, she shared a lot of information I needed. In door onsen room is able reserve the time slot and make it privately to you that is what I am needed. The room I stayed located at the far end corner of this guesthouse, I can hear river sound, really made me recharging.

they provide very traditional style of services, which might be confusing for visitors from abroad but if you wish to taste some true Japanese culture, this is the best choice. i loved their private bathrooms, the river view, and the antique decorations. i felt as if I were in sometime 100 years ago!
