Hotel has great location with beautiful balcony view on river and the bridge, even directly from bed. Rooms were spacious, clean with regular cleaning and big shower with soap, shampoo, conditioner and other equipment. Very good breakfast in a nice restaurant with a view. Smooth checkin with 24/7 reception. We enjoyed a family vacation a lot, and would come back again. Special thanks to Goncalo and Felipe from hotel bar - they were very friendly, recommended us places to go and we even had a great time and talks in the bar. Thanks to them we enjoyed our stay even more and had a great overall experience from the hotel and staff. Thank you guys :)

Great location. If you stay here you must be able to do a few flights of stairs. We didn’t mind. Across the street from fresh marketplace. We did an online walking tour from this location.

Living in a castle just 10-15 minutes walk from the city center is as magical as it can be! The property has an exceptional atmosphere, beautiful territory, amazing historical breakfast room and a couple of meeting rooms. Everything equipped with modern facilities, but lovingly restored and preserved historical elements. We stayed in a room on the top floor of the main building, and it has 360 view over the city. Rooms on the 3rd floor should also have a great view, but not 360, however, they have the balconies/terrace. Be prepared to climb the stairs for the best views, though. There is no lift in the main building. Every member of staff we met was incredibly nice and helpful. We had a great time in Castelo Santa Catarina and wish all the best to the hotel and the team.
