The location, the room, the wine, the breakfast and Silke our host were simply amazing. We came as guests and when we left we felt we had a new friend. The small, family-run Donauhof is located close to the Danube River in the wine-growing village of Weißenkirchen, in the heart of the Wachau Region, the UNESCO world heritage. The breakfast was lovely, with a wide variety of both sweet and savory options. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and welcoming—almost fairytale-like. The mother-and-daughter duo are wonderful hosts, and their warmth and attention truly made our stay special. Highly recommended!

Wonderful staff, generous gifts each day in our refrigerator (drinks, snacks); an incredible location above a bend of the Danube River in a picturesque perfect village.

Built in 1574 as a shipmaster’s house, Renaissancehotel Raffelsberger Hof B&B is a protected building in the historic village centre of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau. So lovely hotel, the architecture of the building itself is very interesting and extraordinary. The interior is beautiful and cozy. The room was not very big but for a solo traveller it was a perfect size with all the facilities. The breakfast was nicely served. The staff was very friendly and caring. Definitely value for money. And I would love to stay for longer and obviously I would stay in this splendid place.
