One of my favorite hotel stays ever. The hotel itself is gorgeous - out of a fairytale. The staff was amazing. The Salavaux/Vully area is so special. We rented a vespa from the hotel and drove around the countryside - and the hotel packed us a picnic lunch of cheese, ham, bread and wine. The staff helped us find the best wineries nearby. We had an incredible dinner at the hotel our first night. I couldn't say enough amazing things about our stay here.

Housed in a historic building first mentioned in 1396, where such famous people as Casanova and Goethe once stayed, the Hotel Adler enjoys a central location in the Old Town of Murten. Free WiFi is available. Fantastic room, very western in the sense that the bathroom was huge and the mattress topper actually created a real king bed feel, versus just two twins shoved together. Private terrace was a huge plus for morning coffee. Great craft soaps/shampoo. I look forward to staying at the Adler again!

This 3-star Murtenhof & Krone hotel in a Medieval patrician residence in the old town of Murten features a terrace with a wonderful view of Lake Murten.

The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the train station and is situated at the entrance to the old town, directly beside the castle. Staff is amazing, everyone we interacted with was so friendly, helpful and even funny. From Reception to restaurant, bar, breakfast, great team.
