Gästehaus Schäfli is a gem of a hotel with such a friendly welcome, a comfy bed, lovely warm shower and incredible traditional food for dinner - particularly the chicken with special sauce. The walks from the hotel up into the woodland are stunning - all the way up to a perfect picturesque blue lake overlooking the mountains. I'll definitely stay here again and can't recommend it highly enough!

Simply amazing property to stay at; best way to describe it— “magical.” Close to everything, can walk everywhere: ski lifts, restaurants, church, stores, etc. Ski/snow board storage available. Rooms are cozy, well maintained- immaculate!! Even a spacious shared family room to use. Restaurant is top notch- quite possibly the best in Andermatt. Absolutely can’t go wrong with Sonne!!

In the winter it is walking distance to the Gemsstock cable car station where the ski bus stops that takes you to the Nätschen Gondola station. Further, it is a 2 min walk to the center of town where you can find all necessary services. It was very traditional clean and tidy
