Secure underground car park excellent for our motorbike. Helpful, pleasant staff. Loved this place. Would definitely stop again.

Located in Obersalzberg below the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest) this incredible hotel gives you easy access to Berchtesgaden's many attractions. Easy walk to the bus boarding area for the Eagles Nest. Buy your tickets on-line in advance. Open mid-May to mid-October. Documentation Museum (History of the Nazi leadership in this area and atrocities) is located on the backside of the vehicle parking area for the Eagles Nest bus tour and is open year around. Visit the salt mine and take the fun tour and make sure you drive to the Konigssee and take the boat tour and enjoy some hiking. If you are a true adventurer you can walk to the Kehlsteinhaus from the hotel. They will give you a map. All trails so no bus conflict. Very well marked with sign posts. Said four hours but I did it in one and a half. You don't need to take the elevator to the Eagles Nest at the bus turn around area. Walk down the road 200-300 meters and a trail takes you to the top.

Wooden sliding bathroom door, prison style sink, comfortable bed. Great location, close walking distance to the marktplatz.

WE DROVE DOWN THE ONE CLOSER TO THE RED CAR!! 😂👍 ARRIVAL ADVENTURE: We abandoned our car a few alleys away because we were trapped. Somehow we managed to drive our SUV rental down a lane that was surely meant for 2 bicycles to take turns leading the way. The kind owner, who had already stayed late to check us in, said she had been trying to reach us to warn us of the Google Map vehicle mouse trap! Too distracted, we had missed them and had only booked an hour earlier. She showed us our room, grabbed the hotel keys and said, “Let’s go. I will help you’. Back down the narrow lanes, in the dark and the cold, she looked over the car. Went to front to measure by taking large steps and counting. ‘Yes’, she said ‘I think you can make it’. My husband and I looked at each other and said okay then…. Going back would be equally as difficult. And then 2 women brilliantly directed an already frazzled man to victory with a half inch to spare on both sides!! We parked our vehicle in the back hotel courtyard. It was then we realized that the PARKING REALLY WAS SO SIMPLE!!! Easy in and easy out, if you go the right way!! Ah, the adventure of it all…. What a wonderful woman the owner is. The hotel itself was everything promised and then some. Complimentary water and coffee in the room. Breakfast included until 11:30am!!! In the most beautiful area in the heart of it all. A TREASURE!
