This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. It offers free WiFi.

The delicious breakfast buffet consists of mostly local produce as well as homemade jams. In the evenings, guests can relax on the terrace with a good Saxon beer or wine. Firstly, we were happy to be staying in a family-run hotel and to be able to support a family business. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, giving us tips for what to do and where to go and even for restaurants in the area as we were there during Christmas and the selection was very limited. We were also kept up to date about the weather and various other conditions in the general area. The breakfast was amazing, including the selection of the family's homemade jams. There were so many that we couldn't try them all! Fresh bread, loads of cold cuts and eggs, a huge variety of cereals, and fresh fruit.

Nice and cosy hotel beautifully located on a market square of a very peaceful town. Very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, very welcomed hosts always willing to help with guidance on treks in the national park.

The rooms are spacious, fresh, clean, and well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is ideal; right across the road from the spa and close to shops, restaurants and bars. It is 10 mins walk to the bus station which is convenient if you are walking the Malerweg. We definitely recommend and would stay here again.

This historic hotel is situated in the town centre of Bad Schandau, along the River Elbe promenade, surrounded by the beautiful hiking terrain of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The Elbhotel Bad Schandau has its own sauna. December, the hotel is cosy, warm. The sauna is nice and well equipped. The beautiful landscape. This is the spa.

There is a full restaurant with a bar and a large furnished terrace at the hotel. Breakfast is offered each morning and packed lunches are available. Free WiFi access is offered in all areas. The property is right next to a very large park, which was fantastic because we brought our puppy with us! The breakfast fantastic and we also ate dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel one night and it was also very very good! The staff were very helpful and sweet.
