Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki. Uspenski Cathedral is a 10-minute walk away, while Helsinki Cathedral is found within 15 minutes' walk. This was one of our favorite hotels. It was a unique to stay in a converted prison and we loved how many of the original structures remained in place. The breakfast was fantastic and had a wide selection. The tram stop was right outside the hotel. The staff were just lovely.

Guests can relax in the garden and use the BBQ facilities in fine weather. A guest lounge and ski storage room can also be accessed. The shared sauna and hot tub can be rented. Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

All apartments include a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven and fridge. The living room has a seating area and panoramic windows. Nice peaceful location, the cottage was clean and just like in the pictures. We enjoyed our stay there, good sleeps. Rauha Spa is just at walking distance, they have also gym if you like that.
