This 19th-century hotel is located in the centre of beautiful Mont Dore, and makes a wonderful base for exploring the Massif du Sancy. Centrally located with easy parking and its own beautiful garden to relax. It's easy to go for a stroll in the city, the funicular is 5 minutes walk away. We had initially booked a room on the 3rd floor but my husband had an injury in the meantime that would have made it complicated to take all the stairs so we called ahead to explain the situation and they were nice enough to find a solution to accommodate us so we could stay on the first floor instead. Great room with 2 separate spaces that was perfect for our baby to sleep quietly in his own space. Breakfast is all home-made and you have something for everyone. The breakfast room is also very pleasant.

Vi fikk en fin mottakelse og ble tildelt et veldig fint og koselig rom i 2 etasje med stor og komfortabel dobbelseng. Beliggenheten var landlig og fint, men vi fikk dessverre ikke prøvd bassenget. Det var utrolig koselig med felles middag og frokost med de andre gjestene. Vi følte oss veldig velkomne av vertene Ingvil absolutt anbefale andre å overnatte her. En autentisk opplevelse om mye mer hyggelig enn å skulle bo på et ordinært hotel.

I enjoyed staying in this former convent and being hosted by Marie and her husband. The stained glass windows in the bathroom really added atmosphere! It's in a little hill town and I enjoyed the beautiful views from my room. It was a bit tricky negotiating the narrow streets in my car, but doable and worth the trouble. I also loved my dinner at the table d'hote of their neighbor, Francoise!

Located in Montluçon and set in a historical building that dates back to the Middle Ages, Château Besson offers B&B accommodation. There was good communication from the start, even though we booked about 2 hours before arrival and we don't speak that much French. The owner was extremely friendly, accommodating and served a wonderful breakfast, even gluten-free bread and cakes (homemade)! Great sauna experience, too.
