In the heart of the historic market town of Barnard Castle, The Three Horseshoes Hotel is a 17th century building less than a mile from the River Tees. Rooms had recently been refurbed and were very nice Bar had a nice atmosphere on the Saturday afternoon Breakfast was very good as was service Very good stay and would definitely return

The Three Horseshoes is situated within 10 minutes’ drive of the beautiful city of Durham. With parts of the building over 300 years old, it still retains some quirky, original features. Lovely traditional pub. Quiet location. Excellent food and service. Very nice room. Superb fried breakfast. Good value for money.

South Causey Inn is a family-owned hotel with a ‘country feel’ family pub, restaurant, and cocktail bar and is recognised for genuinely kind and generous service. Every thing, lovely hotel, friendly staff, great choice of food reasonably priced, great breakfast. Room (courtyard) was very clean and comfortable. Will definitely recommend and will return

Objekat Westgate Manor sa pogledom na vrt se nalazi u gradu Westgate i nudi restoran, zajednički salon, bar, vrt i terasu. An immaculate, beautiful property. Could not fault Westgate Manor. A true gem nestled away. Very, very comfy beds, and we were very well looked after by the hosts Kathryn and Stewart. The food was outstanding, and I loved my alternative choice of breakfast. All food was made to order, so you need to pre-book and select your choice of food. Lovely grounds and very peaceful and relaxing. 10 out of 10 for us.

Within easy driving distance of Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland, the magnificent spectacle of Lumley Castle has dominated the County Durham landscape for over 630 years. Our second time at Lumley Castle and as before was very impressed with the service and facilities. The rooms were beautiful and clean and we loved the decor. We had a light dinner in the bar which was excellent. Breakfast was also amazing. Will definitely recommend it.

A charming English manor house close to the A1 road. WiFi is free in public areas and food is served all day. The room and facilities , the spa was great.

Nestled within 24 acres of tranquil parkland, just 10 miles from the historic city of Durham, Beamish Hall Hotel is a magnificent 13th-century country house, meticulously restored to its original... Stunning grounds and entrance. Clean and modern. Lovely restaurant with nice staff. Ease of access. Hotel staff were so accommodating- Susan and Alex really made it such a a wonderful experience. The highlight was the night porter who ran all sorts of errands for us in the morning. He was a legend but we didn’t get his name!

The Kingslodge Inn - The Inn Collection Group offers a cosy bar, a restaurant and easy access to Durham city centre. There is free parking on-site. Very clean and large room. The staff was very friendly. Location is close to the train station which is nice. Breakfast was excellent. The decor in the place is very cozy, perfect for the winter.
