Lovely building with great character and personality. Restaurant and breakfast was top notch. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food served in the bar was excellent. You need to go hungry! Service is also excellent. Both at dinner and breakfast there is a great choice on the menu. Location is excellent. A short walk to the beach and also to the station, for a regular train service to Liverpool centre. We always enjoy our stays at The Royal.

The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, yet there are still functioning clubs, bars, restaurants, and convenience stores open all night. The room is great, and the kitchen is well-equipped with all necessary utensils. A tip for travelers: check which adapters you’re bringing for charging your devices. We had to find alternative solutions because our adapters didn’t fit the sockets.
