Situated 25 minutes drive from the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, surrounded by quaint villages and stunning countryside, The Old Parsonage is a Grade II* listed 17th-century house, which retains many original features such as period fireplaces and a 17th-century staircase. Our stay was just perfect. We stayed in Rachel's room. It was beautifully decorated and everything was very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great. We were received with gluten-free cookies and we were given a gluten-free cinnamon roll for the way, which was very kind ☺️

Located 8 miles from the historic cities of Bath and Bristol, The Carpenters Arms is in the tranquil and scenic hamlet of Stanton Wick, near the village of Pensford, in the heart of the Chew Valley countryside. The Inn offers free and secure parking, free WiFi, a pub restaurant and an outdoor seating area. The pub was delightful , retained all its original features as well as the added on bits were integrated very well. The bar / restaurant areas were very clean and tidy , rooms were really nice , clean comfortable , The staff were all very pleasant and very helpful .The food was very good and was the best around the area of Pensford and Stanton Wick. Most certainly a place to visit again.

King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept in one of the bedchambers and walked through the ancient gardens at Thornbury Castle - A Relais & Chateaux Hotel, a Tudor castle near the Cotswolds and Welsh Borders. The uniqueness and the service was good and friendly.
