Just 50 metres from the beach and 1 km from Rethymno Town, Archipelagos Hotel is set on a hillside with panoramic views over the Cretan Sea and the Venetian Castle. Facilities include an outdoor communal pool and private pools, a pool bar and free WiFi. Stellios made us feel very welcome and he personally took care that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The hotel has great facilities for kids and the small beach right in front of the hotel is very shallow and calm - also ideal for families with small children. The breakfast was very diverse and fresh and the pool was also refreshing - although we mostly went to the beach. The views from the upper rooms are spectacular and there are even rooms with private pools!

Well equiped room for visiting the best island in Crete, Elafonisi! We had our own parking and as soon as you walk out of the resort, you start your walk to this amazing beach! There isn't anything around the town so thankgooness they had their own restaurant where we ate fantastic Greek food at very affordable prices. They even do breakfast! There is also a supermarket up the road (mini one across the road but pricey) Would recommend if you are visiting the beach especially as sunbeds are sold out by 10am, you can walk down at 9am to purchase, leave your towels there and head down later during the day. The host was wonderful too! Cannot fault this place at all!

It offers air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a private balcony overlooking the Cretan Sea and the town. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of a hotel! It's located a few kilometers outside of the center and the old town but this was only a positive thing for us - lying by the pool (a big and clean pool for that matter) it was actually calm and quiet with only some birdsong to be heard. The hotel also provided a free shuttle every half an hour to the center and back so the distance was not an issue whatsoever. The staff was a m a z i n g, I can't compliment them enough. It must've been the warmest welcome I've received at any hotel, in any country, and they kept being so genuinely kind and helpful for our whole stay. The restaurant upstairs offers you the best sunset view in town and we actually ended up having dinner there almost every night since the food was also great there. The breakfast buffet was so great as well, with a big variety of food and omelets made to order. If (and hopefully, when) I return to Chania, I will definitely stay at Royal Sun again.

The hotel is well located, nice rooms, kind and helpfull stuff, clean and comfortable, very nice pool, we would recommend our friends to go there!

We could not fault the hotel The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel was very clean.

The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. And the room was cleaned every day to a really high standard, we really appreciated that. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Crete 10/10.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Spacious rooms, good shower, comfortable bed. This time, we stayed for 3 nights and breakfast was always exceptional... Cretan delicacies, prepared fresh, taste fabulous. We'll be back for sure!
