Set on a hill with a magnificent view over the Thermaikos Gulf and the city of Thessaloniki, Royal Hotel is only a 5-minute drive from Macedonia International Airport. It offers a fine dining, an outdoor pool with bar, and modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and balconies with view. The staff at the pool/restaurant/bar area was just amazing. Extremely kind, welcoming and paying attention to every detail. Breakfast was repetative but selection was quite wide so there was always something different to choose from. Room was big with big terrace for leisure time (I liked that they put in every room anti-mosquito device, a very nice detail). Quiet surroundings, without any noise. Location is a bit tricky if you want to visit nearby beaches but if you come with a car or you rent a car/scooter, it's perfect.

The Excelsior - Small Luxury Hotels of the World is Thessaloniki’s one and only member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, located right at the heart of Thessaloniki. Free WiFi is available throughout. The guy at the reception was so welcoming. He even gave us a really good room upgrade option which we gladly accepted. The room was facing the main street but it was so quiet. Also, you had the impression that they had a limited choice at the buffet breakfast, but, they also presented us with a menu of things you could order. The menu was rich and food was delicious. Greatly recommend the hotel.

The location was the most amazing one! It felt as if we were on a cruise ship over the sea (make sure you book with sea view). The room was spacious, the balcony wonderful, the service friendly and professional at the same time!!!

"Cookoo" restaurant is a place of culinary delight, for a coffee or snack break, a relaxed lunch or dinner. "Fellows" Bar is a pleasant place for friendly or professional meetings, cocktails and drinks. Always happy to revisit this hotel, it's our 3rd time. One of the best breakfasts in Greece and overall. Location is amazing, close to the sea and the main sightseeing places. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Makedonia Palace is situated right on the seafront and next to Thessaloniki City Centre and features two restaurants of high taste. All suites and rooms are lavishly decorated, including a satellite TV and free WiFi. Breakfast was lavish with a large variety of food to choose from
