Old fashioned charm, pagoda and villa style buildings. Jazz playing in the dining room like stepping back in time. Staff so polite and helpful. Room was lovely, good attention to detail, little coconut pots for the shower gel etc Loved the 2 geese.

We stayed on the upper floor of the cottage, and it was very spacious, with a balcony and a latch door leading to the rooftop with gorgeous view of the jungle and the river. The shower was literally a "rain" shower as it had an open roof， unique. It's one of the few places with aircon AND hot water shower. We enjoyed our stay here.

Centrally located, JW Marriott Hotel Medan offers accommodation with 55-inch LED TVs. It features an outdoor infinity pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, a spa and 6 dining options. Shuttle from Centre Point Mall is provided. As a former manager in four and five star hotels details mean a lot to me. Apparently they also mean a lot at the JW Marriott as attention to detail was noticeable throughout the property. The entire front service staff was gracious and welcoming. The Bellman were always present at the curbside, greeting customers and promptly and efficiently handling luggage. I never had to open the door when going in and out as staff was always present to do so. The front office staff was prompt and efficient and made me feel like a welcome guest. We dined at the buffet for breakfast and dinner as well as prime steakhouse. Staff was cordial, attentive, and professional. Buffets were abundant and well maintained. Food was attractively presented, fresh, and delicious. I was also impressed with the high level of cleanliness, and the overall excellence of the housekeeping staff. Public areas were consistently well maintained and spotless, as was our guest room, which had a large variety of amenities. The fitness center featured over 20 new Life Fitness machines. They included aerobic and weightlifting machines. There were also free weights and a stairmaster. Every machine had a bottle of water. There was also a dispenser of cucumber water.I was also presented with a bottle of water and a towel upon entering. There was also an outdoor swimming pool sauna and steam room. They might be more expensive than other hotels however, completely worth it. I will stay in no other place in Medan now that I’ve been spoiled by the JW Marriott.
