“Very helpful and nice staff. Our room was quite big so we were at ease even with the four of us. The futons were very confortable. The ryokan provides with plenty of onsen towels, which is convenient, and we appreciated the extensive opening times of the onsen (from 6.30AM to 11PM). The meals (diner and breakfast) were more than plentiful and of high quality. The location is convenient, at one end of the small village of Kurokawa, and there is free parking space.”
“Great location. Only indoor onsen so they have partnership with naighbouring ryokan oyado Noshiyu - it’s a few minutes walk up a hill but the outdoors onsen is really worth it! Evening meal at was delicious, particularly the green bean soup. For night time they provide comfortable pyjamas, and yukata for day time.”
“Wonderful ryokan. Beautiful little town. The Japanese and Chinese staff were great. The onsens were delightful. Futons cozy. Food was plentiful and delicious. The area is very pretty and the sound of the river was soothing.”
“Kurokawa Onsen is very close to visit. The staff was super friendly, and their own hotspring facilities were pretty extensive. They have outside and inside gender separated baths, two family baths, and a mixed gender outdoor bath up a hill that has a great view. Both times we went to the outdoor bath, no one else was there, so it was like our own private bath. Our tatami room was very spacious, and the futons were extra fluffy and comfortable.”
“The hotel is amazing, a traditional Japanese ryokan. Staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner are held in old japanese style. There are public and private baths in the property great for relaxation. The room itself was fabulous with tatami floors, futon and our own outdoor bath. Everything about our stay was perfect. The location is great to explore kurokawa onsen and nearby attractions. Thanks so much!!!!”
