The grounds were beautiful and spacious, as was the room, though it definitely showed some wear. Each meal we had was varied and delicious/interesting, with many different things to try. We loved the in room onsen and the views. The ryokan is located in a lesser visited area, so the area was very quiet and chill - more "small town" feeling (which we liked). We took the nearby cable car to the Mt Fuji viewpoint, which had great views and was uncrowded on a weekday.

A recently renovated ryokan, Fugaku Hanabusa offers accommodation in Izunokuni. This ryokan offers free private parking, an elevator, and free Wifi.

Lovely ryokan stay in quaint Japanese town. 1 block from 24h supermarket for any last minute needs. Setting is lively with incredible mt Fuji view. Impeccable service and food!

The meal provided was tremendous, and the interior of the building was exceptionally better than I had expected. The baths were also lovely and relaxing and available at various times. I would recommend it to others.

set up on top of the hill, I loved the location and view of the rooftop open air onsen. also, the breakfast buffet was very good and I’ve had a few Japanese hotel breakfast buffets after living here for 6 years.

What a wonderful place! We booked a suite and it was so worth the money paid - huge room, comfortable bed, massive sofa (like a second bed), hinoki bathtub was the size of a small swimming pool and ofcourse the onsen on the balcony with the most breathtaking views of the Atami! We also had a fridge stocked with complementary drinks + welcome cookies every day! They also offer you a welcome drink at the tea salon located on Lvl 8! The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented; traditional breakfast was not far behind! Absolutely loved our stay and would love to stay here again someday!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. When I asked the restaurant staff which items were Halal/Vegetarian/seafood, she asked a senior staff member who proceeded to explain each buffet item one by one to explain the ingredients and check if it suited my diet (not having pork or non-halal meats). Moreover, when knowing that my options were somewhat limited, the restaurant staff ensured to share with me the upcoming buffet items on the following days which did suit my diet. I already went to the hotel knowing that my options were limited, but the staff exceeded my expectations by ensuring that we were taken care of. It's worth noting that the food was delicious. They had a dedicated staff member taking family photographs of guests by the water terrace. these are just a couple of examples where staff members put the customers as their highest priority. We also loved the spotless clean rooms and facilities, various dedicated slippers available (hotel room slippers, hotel area sandals, bathroom sandals, private balcony/Onsen crocs). The vending machines, free coffee, gift/shop, proximity to public transportation were quite convenient too.
