We are very happy that we were able to visit this place! We thank the host and everyone who made our stay here very comfortable. Importantly, the owner speaks English very well.
The room is spacious and comfortable, has everything you need. We really enjoyed sleeping on the futon! Yukata and haori are wonderful. And it is impossible not to note the presence in the room of a Nintendo console with rare games: Mario, Zelda and others.
3 private onsen with different water temperatures. They are available to guests 24 hours and without restrictions. It is very convenient that you can watch online whether onsen is busy or not. This is a small thing, but it makes so comfortable to visit the hot springs, you do not need to go down from the room and check whether it is occupied or not. Well thought out!
The common area is also wonderful. Here you can drink tea/coffee/water after visiting onsen. Use a massage chair, play games, read manga.
Well, breakfast! Mmmmm, how delicious everything was! We also had a few requests for food, since we do not eat some products and the host replaced some items in the breakfast so that everything would suit us. Thanks for this care, it was so nice.
This is a truly amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Every time we remember living here with warmth and delight. We really hope to come here again someday.

From the second we stepped onto the threshold of this hotel, we felt welcomed and super cozy. Although the lady at the reception didn't speak English, she still did her best to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. We also had complimentary sweets and participated in a small tea ceremony, which was something we, as tourists visiting Japan for the first time, appreciated so much. The place had four private onsen rooms, with all the necessities you might need, such as different shampoos, towels, hairbrushes and cotton pajamas after the bath! Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Yubatake was 1 minute away from us. The breakfast was delicious. I wish we had stayed there longer!

As usual great dinner, this time in the tatami room and not the restaurant, made it even better. It doesn't feel crowded even though a lot of rooms were reserved. Onsen was perfect. A must stay in the Takasaki area.
Shuttle from train station. Friendly staff. Traditional experience. Provided with yukata, swimwear and slippers for stay. Food was beautiful. Onsen are exceptional. Scenery is unbelievable.
Everything was perfect, the food, the onsen, the rooms, the staff. A real traditional ryokan. Highly recommended
Me and my friends stayed at this lovely ryokan for one night. We enjoyed our spacious room and the private and public Onsen hot springs of the hotel. The hotel is located in a nice central spot which is great for exploring Kusatsu Onsen. The food and services were good.
It was a beautiful stay and our first experience at a ryokan. We were made to feel very special from the moment we arrived, until the time we checked out. The meals were lovely. Lots of interesting things to try for both dinner and breakfast and dressed in the provided yukatas. We loooooved our private onsen in our room and also tried two of the three private onsens on site which can be used by any guest pending availability. Beautiful views! The town is also lovely but be prepared for the sulfur smell from the hot springs!
Western style room was great! The tatami room had ample room for several futons, in addition to a couple beds outside the tatami room. Open concept with sliding doors was great for our group (6 people) so we can chat and hangout freely, and slide the doors shut at night for privacy. Breakfast was good. The outdoor onsen was really nice.
Kusatsu is a beautiful town, built around a hot spring. The hotel (ryokan) was located 2 blocks from the central area - well within easy walking distance. It was a perfect town and hotel for a 24-hour visit. Lots of stores and artisanal food in town. At the hotel, we enjoyed the public onsen as well as an hour in a private room. The kaiseki (multi-course) dinner was excellent as was the breakfast.
Rooftop onsen was gorgeous. If you're reserving make sure to get it while there is still light to view the mountains. If not you can use the gendered sides anytime during their open hours. Staff was exceptional. Spacious rooms with tatami floors. The full ryokan experience in a classic onsen town. 10/10
Everything in the ryokan was great. Excellent place, staffs, onsen(hot spring), meals and more. even the guests were really kind and had good manners.
