The location was as expected - quieter and away from the central bits of Kyoto, but there are various things to do nearby the hotel, and it was easy to get to with bus. The housekeeping team were very friendly! The male staff member on site who helped us with check-in and check-out was super polite and helpful! Him and the other male staff member also helped us send our luggage to the next city we’re staying in 😊

Hotel overall is very comfortable and you can enjoy Japanese style accommodation at some extent. Location is also quite nice. A quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to train/metro stations + center locations.

Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They spoke fluent English. We were given recommendations to things to visit and places nearby to eat. The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. Breakfast and their private bath were worth the price.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. The room was stunning, traditional, and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, expansive, and filling. We were offered a choice between a Japanese breakfast or a Western breakfast. The staff were friendly, approachable, and accommodating. I was extremely pleased with the hotel staff. It felt like coming home every time we returned to the ryokan. The ryokan was close to a subway station for easy travel. And it was an easy 20 minute walk from the famous Kiyomizu-dera. The ryokan also offers a 10+ course dinner options as well as a public bath.

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. Everything was top notch, from accommodation to the very friendly and helpful staff. Object has shuttle bus that will take you to JR Kameoka which is great way to get back to Kyoto. Much recommended

The ryokan serves a vegetarian and vegan breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. It was an amazing experience! Our host was very kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable and sparkling clean. We had all the necessary amenities. I hope we can come back for a longer stay very soon!
