The air-conditioned rooms at Hotel Asafuji have Shoji paper screens and a low table with floor chairs and cushions. Each room includes a fridge, private toilet, and guests bathe at the hot-spring baths. Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor is provided. Yukata robes are offered for guests. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and attentive - everyone from the shuttle bus driver and receptionists to the restaurant staff. Mount Fuji is visible from the rooms and also from the nice little onsen on the top floor. The shuttle bus service is very convenient to and from Kawaguchiko station. Both the dinner and breakfast were great and plentiful. The view gets a bit better as you go further along the lakeshore away from Kawaguchiko station, but we found Hotel Asafuji to be good value for money and the wonderful service made it a very pleasant stay.

八海 木花館 features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Oshino, 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. Every room comes with a balcony with garden views. The word “extraordinary” is more than fitting for this hotel. From the very first moment, you feel genuinely welcomed and completely at ease. The friendly and exceptionally helpful staff deserve special mention, as do the outstanding breakfasts and dinners served during your stay. With many local ingredients and traditional Japanese culinary artistry at a fine dining level, absolutely no wishes are left unfulfilled. The rooms themselves are spacious, impeccably clean, and furnished with great attention to detail. After a wonderful day exploring the area, you can relax either on the terrace with its Zen garden or in your own private onsen bath. While the price is somewhat higher, it is absolutely justified given the quality of service provided. I would gladly return here at any time.

Set in Yamanakako in the Yamanashi region, Hanamizuki offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. This 2-star ryokan offers a garden. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. We loved this place! Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Google translator helped us to communicate. It's a hotel with traditional Japanese rooms with futons and shared bathrooms. I would recommend booking with breakfast and dinner! The food they prepared was delicious. To hotel is just a short walk away from the lake with the most beautiful view onto Mt Fuji. The hotel had plenty of parking and the whole building was spotless. We loved our stay there and would absolutely come back

Shoji Lake Hotel provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Lake Kawaguchi and 18 km of Fuji-Q Highland. With an open-air bath, the 3-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The place is amazing, it has spectacular views of the lake and Fuji. We chose a Japanese-style room, with tatami mats, futon and private bathroom, but without a doubt, the best of all was the treatment of the hotel staff. Kobayashi, the manager, attended to us personally and made sure that our stay was unforgettable. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, we lacked nothing. On the day of checkout they made us coffee and sat us in front of the views of Fuji. We will return without a second's hesitation. Unforgettable.

Located just a minute's walk from Kawaguchiko Lake, Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel offers accommodation in Fujikawaguchiko, near Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The hotel is a minutes' walk away from the shores of Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Herbkan. Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Has everything you need, indoor public bath, yukata, public amenities etc. Public bath is good sized and very clean. Location is only 20 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station; bus stop is few steps from the hotel. The owners will also offer to drive you to the stations, though we declined as we loved walking around the vicinity. The lake is almost directly opposite the hotel. Room itelf was nice. We had a twin room that was good sized for 2 adults. Had the best view of Mt Fuji! We opted for breakfast and it was delicious and homely. Best thing about this place is how wonderful the owners are. Loved chatting to the lady at reception. Very accommodating and always trying to make things easier for us. The gentleman that picked us up even greeted us is our native language. They were kind enough to drive our bags to the station after check out too. Had a lovely time, only wished we stayed longer. Thank you!

Set in Fujikawaguchiko and only 2 km from Lake Kawaguchi, Taiheikan offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star ryokan provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and public bath. The accommodation features free shuttle service and luggage storage space for guests. Absolutly everything. That is the best place i ever stay in japan so far. The traditional room, the yukata, the onsen and mostly the owners of the establishment.. they were the most lovely people i ever met in japan. They woke up super early for me to bring me at the station, they gave me a lot of gift and they serve me my breakfast late because i was late... If i can come back, i defenitly will! Thank you again for this stay and experience.
